After last night's little bar brawl it had me thinking a lot, sure the bar wasn't in the best of neighborhoods but never has something like that happened. I didn't like the idea of guns being used but I have to do whatever it takes for myself, my staff and my Serpent family to stay safe.
I tossed and turned all night long. But I had to put all of that stuff to the back of my mind and focus on today, and that was picking out a prom outfit.
"Baby I still can't get over what happened last night, your cute little face is bruised now" Toni says lowering her bottom lip. "It's ok babe luckily it's nothing makeup can't cover. The bruising should be gone by prom." I say trying to reassure her not to worry.
"You sure you don't want to come with us shopping?" Toni asks laying her head on my chest.
"I'm sure, you go have fun pick out the most gorgeous dress don't worry about the price. It's prom you have to go all out." I respond laying a kiss on her head.
"Ugh fine I won't even fight you on that stuff anymore Jones. Cause I'll never win that argument" Toni responds.
I smile "good glad we have an understanding now Topaz. I guess we should get ready." I say climbing out of bed. I brush my teeth, wash my face, pick out a simple outfit jeans and a hoodie with the Serpent logo on it and some Nikes.
I go into my safe and pull out money for both Toni and I. By this time Toni just finished getting herself ready. "Here buy your dress, shoes, you can set up an appointment to get your hair and makeup done on prom day, get your nails done now or just wait." I say handing her a wad of cash with $1,000 she just looks at it.
"Babe that's way too much money." I shake my head "didn't we just have this discussion, set all that stuff up. Whatever's left you keep." She places a kiss on my lips.
Betty and Veronica come to the trailer park to pick up Toni and Alexa. "Have fun babe, I'll see you later" I say giving her a goodbye kiss.
"Ok enough tonsil hockey Jones let's get going" Fangs says as he's sitting on the hood of my Jeep. I shake my head, climb into the driver's seat and we are off to the mall in Bridge Port.
A short while later we pull up to the mall and we make our way to the suit store "welcome gentleman and lady, what can we do for you today?" The shop clerk greets us.
"Yeah we all need to find a suit for prom." Duke responds "anything in particular, and don't worry sweetheart female suits have been huge lately we have an amazing selection." The guys go off to start looking for their suits while I try looking for mine.
