As Jade, Fangs, and Sweet Pea were all laughing, drinking, playing pool trying to unwind after another late-night run. Jade couldn't keep her eyes off of the brown and pink-haired girl working behind the bar. Jade, Fangs, Sweet Pea, and Toni all grew up together. But there was always something about Toni that Jade couldn't get enough of, sure they were best friends and the only family Jade could actually depend on. But Jade wanted more with Toni, of course, Jade couldn't admit to having feelings for her as she couldn't fathom ever losing Toni's friendship. There was never a secret of Jade's sexuality she came out as bisexual at a young age. Had her fair share of meaningless relationships, and even more meaningless hookups. But she wanted the real thing with that one special someone.

Fangs trying to get Jade's attention but following the direction of her eyes he could see she was staring at Toni. "Yo earth to Hurricane you're up," Fangs said as he smacked her back, quickly catching her attention. Seventeen-year-old Jade Noelle "Hurricane" Jones was the eldest of the three Jones kids. Jughead her younger brother was only eight months younger than her but she never let him forget it. Yes you heard that right just eight months apart in age one might ask how that might happen but no one besides FP and Gladys Jones knew the truth to that not even Jade or Jughead knew that Gladys wasn't Jade's biological mother. Jade was conceived from an affair between her dad FP and a secret highschool lover from his past (we'll get into that later.) Which left FP and Gladys to raise Jade together for fear of Jade's safety.

Everyone made fun of the two Jones siblings growing up calling them the "Irish twins of the Southside" because of their close age. And no one let them forget just how different Jade looked compared to her brother. Jade had natural gold kissed tan skin, grey eyes, plump lips, long black hair that she had her signature teal ends dyed, a full sleeve tattoo on her left arm, and her unique serpent tattoo on full display on her right forearm. Nothing compared to her brother Jughead or "Juggie" as she called him. Jade and Jughead we're nothing alike Jughead prided himself on being more of a lone wolf, his love for writing, and taking pictures.

While Jade loved being around her friends loved everything about music, MMA fighting, and most of all working on cars and motorcycles. Jade took on a lot of responsibility after FP was arrested for attempted murder. Gladys uprooted herself and Jellybean one day while Jade and Jughead were on a road trip for the summer with their friends Archie and Betty. That day is when it seemed like their world began to fall apart. After returning home seeing all of their mother and sisters belongings were gone and a note left on the counter explaining their sudden move with $300 as their goodbye from their mom that began the resentment Jade had for her "mom." After filling the house with food and splitting the remaining money between them Jughead split because he couldn't stand coming home not seeing his baby sister and mom every day and that left Jade to hold down the Jones home alone.

After FP's arrest, Jade took on the role of leading the younger Southside Serpents with Fangs, Sweet Pea, and Toni at her side always. FP bestowed the nickname "Hurricane" to his eldest child because at a young age Jade always defended herself, her friends, and of course her younger brother from the neighborhood ghoulie kids. When it came to her brother Jade would fight tooth and nail to protect him. 

That would prove true one day when in the sixth grade after school Jughead was jumped by a group of Northside boys that caught Jug walking home alone after picking up himself and his sister some Pops burgers and milkshakes. 

When Jade found out she took it into her own hands to find that group of boys and get her revenge on them for hurting her brother that resulted in her getting a dislocated finger and a split eyebrow the scar that she still dawned till today. And her love for MMA fighting made the nickname even more fitting. FP put Jade in classes when she was six so that she could learn how to defend herself from whoever dared to step to her. Being the kids of the Serpent king only meant Jade and Jughead had even bigger targets on their backs.

Jughead had no desire to carry on with the Jones legacy of becoming a Southside Serpent but Jade on the other hand couldn't wait to be a Serpent. So at the age of fifteen after many weeks of begging and proving to her dad, she was ready to begin her Serpent initiation FP allowed his daughter to begin the process of becoming a Serpent.

 Jade didn't want special treatment from her dad when it came to initiation even though FP was completely against his daughter doing the "serpent dance" but Jade did it anyway. It seemed like a lifetime ago that FP draped his daughter's custom black leather with studs and spikes serpent vest on her shoulders. 

That was Jade's proudest moment of her life becoming a Southside Serpent, little did she know just six months later another devastating blow would come as the door to their Sunnyside Trailer park home was kicked in and her dad being taken away in handcuffs.

Even though it was just two years ago, now at the age of seventeen Jade was building her respect and reputation of being a no-nonsense having leader. She was determined to change the way things were handled with the younger serpents. She wanted them to have the best life had to offer even if they lived on the Southside. 

She only had two huge rules they had to follow. No taking drugs, and no selling drugs. If she found out any of the younger serpents broke those rules they would suffer harsh consequences. She had her eyes on one day ditching her Serpent Princess title to one day becoming the Serpent Queen, and if she had it her way she would have the gorgeous brown and pink-haired girl she grew up with at her side as her Queen.
