I ran back to my dads house & went threw the back door, thankfully it was unlocked.
I ran through it & locked all the windows and doors so my dad couldn't come back. I didn't know what I was doing here or where I would go, I didn't even know what to think.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket & saw Mason texted me.
I unlocked my phone and read,
Oh Abyss, my dear, I'm so sorry I couldn't help you sooner. Please call me.
I dialed his number and called, with every ring my heart beats faster & faster.
"Hello?" I heard a sweet voice say.
"Mason. Hi. It's me. I ran away from my dad. I ran back to our old house, can you come get me please" I said trying to hold back my tears.
"Be there in 3 minutes." He said as he hung up.
"I love you." I whispered even though he wasn't on the other line.
Did I really love him? No, I couldn't. I just met him. I mean, I knew him but not well enough. What if he likes someone else...
I shook the thoughts out of my head while I looked out the front door window. all I saw was complete darkness. Did he forget about me?
I called him at 7, & it's 7:30... He said 3 minutes....
I called him again.
I heard breathing on the other end but no one spoke.
"Mason?" I said.
"Hello Abyss." I heard another voice say.
I recognized the voice right away.
"DAD!?!??!?"
