"H-hi!" Serena chirped, stumbling over her own shoelace. I manage to grab her by the forearms and she flashes me a sheepish grin, "sorry Clary."

"That's okay, why are you in such a rush that you didn't notice your shoes were untied?" I inquire, glancing down at the Tupperware in her shaky hands.

She blushes profoundly, "um, your friend from the other day said he was allergic to walnuts so I made him these since I felt bad. Can you give them to him?" The words come out meekly from her mouth.

I smile solemnly at her, "Klark and the boys already left. They attend different colleges."

Her face glooms and all traces of a smile was now long gone from her face. "oh. . ."

"Sorry-" I smile genuinely at her. My old self wouldn't have even spoke a word to this girl. But I truly think that Nate has rubbed off on me.

Gosh he was right.

"-I'll let Klark know though yeah?" I question softly, not wanting to push the topic too much in case she burst out in tears.

I didn't know the girl, so I definitely didn't know what reaction I'd get out of her.

"Klark?" She says his name with a romantic sigh, her eyes filled with stars at the new found information.

"That's his name, yes." I chortled, gasping lowly as a familiar pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist from behind me. He nuzzles his face in the crook of my neck and kisses it.

"What's going on baby?" He murmurs lovingly.

"N-nothing!" Serena stammers out, waving her hands frantically in front of us so quickly that she almost drops the Tupperware. "you two can have them, they're vanilla this time."

She places them in my hands and scurries off before either one of us has the chance to add anything.

"What was all of that about?" Nate chuckles huskily into my ear. I nudge him off and shake my head.

"You heard her, nothing." I repeat, placing the Tupperware in his hands.

"Oh you're seriously choosing your girl friend over your boyfriend?" Nate pouts cutely and glares at the reusable dish in his hands.

"I don't have any girl friends." I scrunch my face in distaste and shake my head in denial. Though the thought of it didn't sound as bad as it used to.

"I know that. But maybe you can with her." He nods at the spot where she stood a few minutes ago. I bite my lip and sigh. "just think about it? She seems like a nice girl."

"That's the thing, I am not a nice girl."

Nate rolls his eyes, "you're a tough girl. There's nothing wrong with that baby." He pauses for a bit, a sexy smirk tugging on the corners of his lips. "that reminds me, you called me baby too yesterday."

"Did I?" My voice heightens its pitch, furrowing my brows in feign confusion. He chuckles mockingly and nods his head yes. ". . .hmm I don't recall that."

"You don't recall pushing me off the bed for the second time since we've met?" He raises his brows and scoffs.

"I recall the first one, it was after Liora almost caught us. . .but we weren't dating back then." I huff and flip him off. Nate chuckles. "the second time? I still don't recall." I'm teasing him by now.

"Really? Want me to jog your memory?" He jerks my body towards his, his left hand snaking around my waist while his right hand came up just beneath my earlobe. "cause I'm all up for it."
