"I know what you're doing." His taunting voice rings in my ears before he plops down on the vacant seat in front of me.

"You're avoiding Nate, why?" He inquires with an arched brow, his eyes scanning my face but sighs when he gets nothing in return.

"Good morning to you too." I mumble, picking at my half eaten sandwich. It had too much tomatoes or my liking and even though I took most of them out the juice remained and sogged up the bread.

"Clary." He firmly states, a hint of curiosity and anger hidden behind his voice. I glance up at him and arch a brow,

"What, Jasper?"

"What happened? You guys were great yesterday." He frowns, pushing his own tray away and gives me his full attention. "did he do something wrong?"

"Did he put you up to this?" I look around and huff when I see that he's no where to be seen. Doesn't mean he isn't looking though. "Nothing is wrong, I just want to be alone."

"He's your boyfriend. You don't act like he is though." He squints his eyes only to widen them after, "is he your first boyfriend?"

"That's none of your business." I snap angrily and push myself off my seat. Grabbing my tray a little too violently I storm out of the cafeteria and head outside for some fresh air.

Stupid boys and their many questions. Why does he even care?

Not even Nate himself has asked me that today. But, that might be because I am avoiding him.

The only time I caught a glimpse of him was after we came out of our first class. His tousled hair was all over his face, blocking his eyes from view. Like he was trying to hide them or something.

But maybe I was just thinking too much like I usually do. Whatever it is I haven't spoken nor texted with him since last night when he dropped me off at my dorm.

It seemed like I wasn't the only one avoiding though.

"Miss Nightingale." The school's counselor smiles brightly upon me as she too walks out of the cafeteria, "is everything alright?"

I breathe out, "yes, everything is fine why?"

"You seem, bothered." She smiles softly now and intertwines her hands. "perhaps I may help?" She tilts her head.

"There's nothing wrong. Excuse me." I smile politely back at her and walk away before she had the chance to say or ask anything else. It's not like she could even help anyways.

I keep my head down the remaining hours of college. It's not like I had any friends here so it wasn't hard to keep myself hidden.

I could hear girls giggling as I walked down the halls. Boys were wolf whistling at every girl that walked by but when I did, I gave them my deathliest glare and they immediately looked the other way instead.

I'm really glad my boys aren't anything like that. I mean, sure I've always known that they're players and they never stick to the same girl for too long.

But I know for a fact that they've never nor will they ever in their lifetime disrespect a girl. Asides using them for what they want, which sounds cruel in itself.
