"I've been wondering." I toss around in his bed, turning to face him. He flutters his gorgeous green eyes open and bores them into mine as I had woken him up for the fifth time in the time span of ten minutes. I smile sheepishly, "well I was talking to Zachari the other day and you know how he's d-"
"Cut to the chase baby." He hums, snaking his arm around my waist and pulls me into his chest. He buries his face in the crook of my neck and pecks a soft kiss. I run my fingers through his hair and nod.
"Amelia." I murmured and he pulled away to look at me in utter confusion. His brows creased together and he waited for me to continue. "you said you two knew each other since you were in diapers. Does that mean she also knew Jackson and Blaire?" My question doesn't seem to take him by surprise. Or at least not as much as I thought it would.
"Blaire didn't like her, and bullied her. It got so bad that Amelia's parents decided to move away and I never saw her after. We kept in touch and all but I always held a grudge towards Blaire for that. Amelia was my first friend before them, even Jasper. But I couldn't be by her side for long." He smiles sadly and pressed a kiss against my temple.
"Did you ever. . ." I suddenly feel stupid at what I was about to ask and instead shrug the topic off. Even if he did, that's the past and I shouldn't dread on that. It sucks that he got stuck with friends like Jackson and Blaire. Maybe if it had been just Jasper and Amelia they would've had a healthy friendship and not worry about one of them betraying him like they did.
Nate chuckles lightly and pecks my lips. "Are you finally getting jealous?" He murmurs, hiking my leg over his hip and leans in dangerously close. My breath hitches at my throat and I suddenly feel very hot. "must you tempt me so much with your sole existence?" He caressed my thighs painfully slow.
"And must you always make me feel this way?" I whisper, pulling his body even closer to mine. The heat that radiated off both of us was driving me insane at this point. He smirked tauntingly and shrugs his shoulders absentmindedly. I huff, "one day I will get you back for this, you know that?"
He grinned. "For what? Making your heart flutter? Or turning you on?" He pressed his tongue against the inside of his cheek to prevent himself from smiling and stared at me with those piercing, hypnotic emerald eyes of his.
I place my hands over his chest innocently and smirked. Before he could understand what I was planning I stretched my hands forward, pushing him off the bed and onto the ground with a loud thump. I giggle, "for being an annoying boyfriend."
He drops his head onto the floor and groaned. "One tries to get to third base with his girl and she pushes him to the ground like an unwanted Oreo." He puffs and cutely crosses his arms over his chest like the man-child that he is.
"You're the one who didn't want to rush things, have you forgotten?" I teased, sticking my tongue out at him. He rolls his eyes and sticks his hand out for me to help him. "needy baby?"
"For you? Always." He mutters and pouts.
"I-I meant if you needed help."
"Of course you did."
I curse under my breath and stick my hand out for him to take. And though it was a stupid idea to do so, because Nate being Nate would obviously want to get even. I was just too head over heels for him to second think helping him.
