"She looks so cute when she sleeps." A voice mumbled out followed by a giggle.

"Breakfast is ready." Liora informed before the pitter patter of her footsteps faded away.

I fluttered my eyes open, coming face to face with Nathaniel who widened his eyes but didn't back away.

"Were you staring again?" I croaked out, scrunching my face at how my voice sounded.

"Admiring." He confirmed with a nod. I glanced down at my hands which were wrapped around Liora's pink teddy bear.

"Please tell me you didn't take a picture." I muttered placing the bear between us and began sitting up.

He scoffed, "I'm not that creepy."

"Would've fooled me." I shrugged watching as he stood up too, "why do you always stare at me while I sleep? It's the second time, I believe?"

He sighed, "you know when you go to an art museum? Like, there could be nothing but just one painting on the wall and so of course it grabs your attention. It's art, so how can you not stop and admire it?"

Did he just compare me to art?

"I don't even know how to reply to that." I scrunched my nose up.

"Maybe a blush?" He suggested with a small smirk. I rolled my eyes and flipped him off, "ouch."

"I don't blush." I shook my head, "especially not a compliment coming from you."

"You're really harsh." He frowned but smiled after, "it's okay though, I still like you."

"I'll act like I didn't just hear that." I nodded pushing him out of the room and slammed the door shut before he had the chance to turn around.

I scrunched my face, shaking my head slightly at his odd confession and grabbed a change of clothes along with a towel.

I headed over to the restroom and took a quick shower since I didn't want to make Madelyn wait long since she tends to get cranky in the mornings.

Groaning as I stepped out of the shower, I realised that I forgot to bring my clothes and just brought the towel. Rolling my eyes for being so stupid I wrapped it around my body and rushed over to my room.

"Oh shit." He grumbled as I crashed into him, his arm wrapping around my waist as we almost toppled over, "are you okay?"

"I'm fine." I choked out, widening my eyes when his went down to my body, "don't look!"

"Sorry." He let go and covered his eyes. I held the towel securely thankful that it didn't fall down when we crashed, "i-it's just that Madelyn sent me up to look for you."

I sighed, "okay, I know. Tell her I'll be right down."

"Yeah." He nodded turning away quickly and ran down the stairs the same time I ran towards my room.

I placed my hand over my chest, my eyes wide as I stared blankly at the wall. Why is my heart beating like crazy?

Shrugging it off I changed into some non baggy sweats and a skin tight tank top. I slipped my slippers on and walked down where I was greeted with the delicious smell of bacon.
