Asia's POV
It was the next day and Spencer was boarding his plane. Annabelle was wondering where he was going as was I. Spencer, Hotch, Morgan and Summer were all there to see him off. Spencer picked up Annabelle who hugged his neck.
"Where are you going daddy?" she asked. Spencer smiled and hugged his little girl tightly.
"I'm going on a secret mission. I"ll be back very soon okay? I promise." Annabelle looked at her dad and held out her pinky.
"You pinky promise?" she asked. I smiled softly at my husband. He wrapped his pinky around Annabelle's.
"I promise." he said smiling. Hotch and Morgan lightly smiled. Summer was holding onto Morgan's arm. They were such a cute couple I noticed. I was going to tease Summer about it later. Teehee.
"Good." she said giggling. Spencer set her down and he went over to me, hugging my waist.
"Please be careful Spencer." I said trying not to tear up. It was difficult watching my husband have to leave to go on the other side of the world even though he was needed which was a good thing. He hugged me close to him. I took a deep breath before he pulled back and kissed me gently. I gladly returned the kiss.
Spencer smiled gently back.
"I'll be back before you know it." he said kissing me one last time. "I got to go." he said a little sadly before grabbing his bag and boarding the plane. The plane door shut and he waved at me and the others. I waved back and watched with my friends as Spencer's plane took off. Annabelle hugged my leg.
"When's daddy gonna come home mommy?" she asked looking at me.
"I dont know sweetie. He'll come home soon." I said picking her up in my arms and smiling lightly. Morgan looked over at me.
"Reid's strong. He's gonna solve the case just like that!" he said snapping his fingers. I chuckled knowing Morgan had a point.
"I know. You're probably right. My husband will outsmart everyone there." I said making him chuckle. Summer nodded.
"Dont worry about it girl. Reidster will be back in nooo time." she said hugging Morgan's arm. I looked up at the sky. Only time will tell.
A month later...
Spencer's POV
Berlin, Germany
I was homesick from my family but this case was important. The only ones in contact with me were Garcia and Hotch to check in with me and help me with this case. It was a series of murders and robberies in the area where the victims were left with slaughtered throats - all of them female and very young looking, in their mid 20s. None of them were sexually assaulted so that was ruled out. Something was very strange about this case.
"Dr.Reid," one of the officers walked up to me making me look up from the file I was examining. "Check this out. It's a peice of evidence we found at the crime scene." he handed me a clear bag with a paper with chicken scratch writing in it. It had some poetry like writing on it:
"With every bit of sunshine, comes a bit of rain"
"But every bit of rain grows a small flower of hope"
"All our hope is gone... all it rains is blood and rage"
I frowned at the peice of poetry. It was some kind of clue. It meaned he was going to keep killing. We had to find this guy quickly.
"Does this mean anything to you Doctor Reid?" the officer asked me. I had to take time to decipher it, but I was running out of time.
"I'm going to figure it out sir." I said starting to write down the little poem that had been written down as a clue. It meant he was nearby someby, I had a sense.
