Ant POV

Not even the most intelligent creature in this Earth, me of course, could have imagined this Mad Madeline giggling like a fool in her room! Like a normal girl! Sure it's weird that I am spying a girl my age, but dad told me to keep an eye on her. Jeffrey is here with me, mom is keeping an eye on Stupid Finn. Apparently she didn't even wanted to imagine what could happen if Finn found out Fontaine had been spying on him while he was in his room. And she knew, deep inside her, that those two would probably end up kissing or something. Fontaine has to sneak in, take photos of a certain map, then take said map and hide it in their very own faces, we wouldn't be stealing but we sure weren't going to make things easier for them.

When Mad Maddie finally finished giggling I decided to peek a little more, have a better view of what was happening. It was then that I noticed she had a photo or a piece of paper in her hands. I couldn't see the content but it looked a bit stronger than the usual paper, so I guessed, it must be a photo. But of whom? Maybe his mom? We had retrieved the only photo of her, but would she be giggling if she were seeing a photo of her mom? Wouldn't she be crying or smiling? It didn't seemed like a normal reaction to me, but then again, she was a weird girl.

"He looks so amazing wearing such dark clothes..." she had giggled as she hugged the photo, slowly moving it away from her as she sighed, "... but he is not a pirate, we can't together... ARRR!" she ended up screaming, throwing the photo to the floor, a bit far from her bed.

I took that as my chance, Mad Maddie had decided to just lay in her bed with her face in her pillow, which gave me a good chance in sneaking in further into her room. I slowly opened the door, making sure it didn't make a noise, not a loud one at least. Once I managed that I released a breath I had been holding, then I got into my knees and crawled my way towards the photo. It was a bit crumpled, probably because she hugged it, but it was still in good condition. I slowly moved it so that I could see it, and then I saw... me? It was a photo taken from when me and Fontaine got stuck in the Dark Orca, having been kidnapped. Fontaine had been lifting me into the control and wiring area, when both pirate brothers had gotten inside and Mad Maddie went after me.

"NEKTONS ABOARD!!!" I jumped in fright when I heard Mad Maddie scream at the top of her lungs. When I turned to see her she was kneeling in her bed, sitting in her legs, her head raised up high, probably because she had been screaming. She then looked down at where I was, and I knew I was in deep trouble, her face was fully red. She was angry and probably, in a way, humiliated.

"Uh..? This is not what it looks like? I was just making sure you stayed in your room! Yeah! But I didn't wanted someone to catch me in the hallway! I mean that would have been stupid. And I am not stupid! And I was so not curious to see this piece of... paper? Madeline? Maddie? Come on don't look at me like that. Please scream my ears off!" I was hysterical when all she did was creep slowly and silently towards me. She would have started screaming by now!

"How much did you listened?" Her voice was low, barely above a whisper, and all I could do was gulp loudly, my throat had suddenly gotten dry.

"Nothing really! I wasn't paying attention... I was merely keeping an eye for you! So you wouldn't ruin... nothing... Gotta go bye!" I almost spilled the beans but I was not going to do such a stupid thing! That would be usually done by Fontaine I swear.

I ran out of the room, holding Jeffrey in my arms. I ran into something solid, making me fall on my bottom. When I looked up I saw it was my dad, thankfully. He was a bit tense but nothing out of the ordinary. We managed to escape the Dark Orca, together with mom, Fontaine was nowhere to be seen. Apparently as soon as Mad Maddie yelled, the whole sub went into a frenzy, making mom and dad leave their positions as soon as possible. We were in our diving gear, with our full face masks, they only lasted about two or three hours, but we needed to get Fontaine out as soon as possible. Mom and dad were trying to get Fontaine on the communicators, but it wasn't working or she wasn't answering. Around ten minutes passed when we saw Fontaine heading towards us, she was smirking and this reached her eyes, weird.

Once we got back home, Fontaine sent the photos to the main computer in our sub, once they were in the system mom and dad opened them and we all started analyzing what we saw. But I only lasted like half an hour, my mind kept going back to that photo, it was clearly from a security camera, I was even surprised there was one in the whole Dark Orca. Not only did she kept a photo of me, but she surely saw what happened between her brother and Fontaine, did she kept quiet about that? She seemed so loyal and blind following her dad... could she really do this? Could she really go against the beliefs she was raised with?

Could she really like me? I thought she hated me, or at least disliked me... Sure she is cute and fun to rile up... but could we really be a couple? Dad would be... angry? Could dad be angry at me for falling for someone? Mom would probably just let things happen and see where it leads, and Fontaine... well I have no idea what she would say or think...

Not only that but Mad Maddie seems to... despise my sister. Like loathe her, it's like a special kind of hatred. But then again, I loathe her brother, Smiling Finn is just so... irritating and he is always making goo goo eyes towards Fontaine... The dude creeps me out and I hate him, that is the basics of it. But Mad Maddie... I don't mind her, at all, but does that mean I like her? How do you even know you like someone?

Mad Madelaine POV

I can't believe the nerve of that goody two shoes! Coming inside my room uninvited, watching me like a common creep! Weren't the Nektons supposed to have like good behavior and stuff?! Ant is no better than a common peeping Tom... Then again he was so red when I caught him! Looked a bit pale too at a certain moment... What on earth where they doing here? Spying? Stealing? Stealing information? Dad basically ran into my room when I screamed, he kept on asking what the stupid Nektons had done, but I had no idea. All I knew was that Ant was in my bedroom and what he told me, nothing more and nothing less... That sent dad on a spiral and he ran out like a lunatic about ending the Nektons once and for all. Finn was nowhere to be seen, not yet at least.

What did he saw? What did he managed to understand? Arr! This stupid boy drives me crazy! He is always in my mind, always driving me crazy, driving me even more Mad! He has this stupid voice filled with so much stupid things, a moronic smile, this shimmer in his eyes when he knows something, and so many more traits that just make me wanna crush him... And one day I will, that is a promise.

Welll.. I tried, like these two are so hard to write. Ant is super smart and Maddie is well, me on a weekend, the less I think the better. This is basically their thoughts on each other and a possible relationship (mostly from Ant since he seems like he overthinks). I will probably write more about them in the future but with famous prompts or something like that in order to guide myself.
