JONATHAN'S POV

I run my hands under the running water. I'm cleaning the blood off my hands. I love Lily. But she doesn't love me. She is dating Harrison. I was at the Pandomium with my pairibipi (A/N sorry if it's spelt wrong. If it is, how do you spell it? 😬) Luke. Or Lily's brother. Luke knows I like her.

Well anyways Harrison was cheating on her. I beat the crap out of him.

I turn the sink out and walk to the library. I find Mom in there. Dad went to Idris last week for a meeting. Mom's worried about him. Mr.Porter is with him too.

I sit next to my mother. She has bags under her eyes. I run my thumb over them, just as she use to do to my.

"Hey, baby." Mom says to me.

She hasn't called me 'baby' since I met the Porter's.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

She leans in and cries on my shoulder. "He died eighteen years ago, but I feel as if I still need to watch my back, as if he's still hear."

Mom's scared. She can't be scared my mommy is my rock. "Who?"

"My brother."

I sit in shock. I never new she had a brother.

"Remember two months ago, your dad said demons never die?" Mom continues. I nod. "Well our father had made him a demon.-"

"And you an angel." She looks at me puzzled. "Dad told us the story. The moral being 'shodowhunters may be angels, but so were demons once upon a time.'"

I just didn't know that Sebation Morgenstern was my mothers brother.

FEW HOURS LATER.

I'm sitting in the green house. It's almost midnight. I couldn't sleep, so I came to the place where it all began.

"Couldn't sleep?" I turn to see a curly blond with icy blue eyes. My Lily.

I smile and shake my head. She takes a seat on the ground next to me. Lily shives. She's only in a tank top and shorts.

I take of my sweat shirt and give it to her.

"I can't take this, this is the one your father gave you for your birthday." Lily says giving it back to me.

"Lily, your freezing, take the dam sweat shirt." I sigh. Lily slips it over her head. I smile.

I lay back on the ground, so does Lily. We drift off to sleep together.
