Ariana's POV

After the girls day ended, which was really fun, I went up to the green house. I feel sad. I don't know why. Maybe I'm upset about lying. Or because I wish I could have grown up here or-

"Hi Taylor!" I look behind me to see the one and only Jonathan Maxwell Herondale. Aka my older brother.

He doesn't know that.

"Hey Jonathan." I say. His smile is so bright. He's warm and nice. I really wish I had grown up with him.

This is not your mission.

"My parents first kiss was here." Jonathan said. "Well I mean it was my moms first kiss, my dad had kissed so many girls before her-"

"I hope your not implying anything, Herondale." I joke.

Jonathan blushes deeply. "I am, not about you though."

I nod. Jonathan gets close to my face. "I'm going to tell you a secret, you can't tell anyone." I nod again. "Lily and I haven't kissed. I mean, we act like we're together but we're not!"

At this point Jonathan's a few feet away from me.

"We'll be so close to kissing, and than something will happen then we don't." He sighs and sits down on the stairs.

"It's frustrating, you know?" He run his hands through his hair. I didn't even notice Jonathan was crying.

I sit down next to Jonathan. I rub his back. I felt ackword doing so. I'm not use to being the one to comfort people.

This is not your mission.
