Chapter 27

Jace's POV

Mr. Porter is glaring at me.

"You and you're pathetic excuse for a son can stay away from my daughter!" Mr. Porter yells at me. "And don't even let your wife near either!"

He storms off down the hall. I'm in shock. We have been nothing but nice to him and his family.

I decide that if I want to stay on his good side, I should leave Lily be for a few days.

I knock on Jonathan's door, I don't hear anymore crying.

Clary opens the door. "Shh, he's sleeping."

I nod.

"You'll never guess what Mr. Porter had told me," I whispered to her. "He doesn't want us near Lily."

Clary shakes her head. "He's just in shock, we have nothing to worry about."

I reach over and grab her small pale hand.

Ariana's POV

I've grown to love me real mother and father and not Uncle Sebastian. He's been wrong the whole time.

Isabelle had told me the story. About how I was thought to be still-born. My mother had blamed herself.

It makes me feel bad. So, I have come to the conclusion that I will tell Clary and Jace that I'm still alive.

I knock on the door. No one answers.

I sigh.

"That isn't you mission." I hear him say.

"What do you want, Tomis?"

"Master doesn't like what you're doing," Tomis replies.

"I don't want to be apart of this anymore." I say pushing past Sebation's minion.
