Jonathan's POV

In the middle of the night Lily came in claiming she couldn't sleep. She lays in my arms now, in the hospital bed.

I brush the hair out of her face. Her eyes move under her eyelids as she dreams. I smile down on her as the doorbell rings.

Clary's POV

I open the door. There's a teenage girl. Her red hair is in perfect ringlets. Her eyes are a liquid gold color, freckles are splatted across her face.

"My name is Taylor, I'm from Idris, I was told to stay at the New York Institute." The girl says.

"Hello." I say. "I'm Clary, I run the Institute, with my husband Jace. I don't remember anyone telling my you were coming."

"That would be because Mr. Porter picked up the message, he must have forgotten to tell you." She says swiftly.

Something about her seems off. I start to show her around the Institute.

Ariana's POV

As my mother shows me around the Institute, we walk part the infirmary. Inside was a blond boy with and blond girl. They were laughing.

"That's my son, Jonathan. The girl is Lily, who I hope to someday be his girlfriend, maybe even wife." Clary says to me.

"Oh. Do you have any other kids?" I ask. I know the answer, but she doesn't need to know that.

"Yes, I had a little girl. Her name was Ariana, she died in childbirth. I would give anything for her to be hear." Clary looks at the floor.

Clary pushes the doors open. Jonathan and Lily jump away from each other.

"Jonathan, Lily, this is Taylor, she'll be staying with us at the Institute." I wave a little.

I realize Jonathan has a bandage wrapped around his chest.

"Why don't you use a iritze for that?" I ask. (a/n is that how you spell it??)

He looks down at his chest and laughs. "Parabatai problems."

I raise an eyebrow.

"You can't use a rune on a rune." He says. I smile.

"Okay well I have a lot of showing around to do." Clary states.

Wow. Everyone is different then what Uncle Sebation had told me. I can't wait to meet my daddy.
