TIME SKIP: FOUR MONTHS LATER
JACE'S POV
I pace back and forth. I hear my wife scream again. I need to go in there! I need to be in with Clary. I groan.
"Jace calm down a bit, will you?" Alec groans with frustration.
"I don't see you wife in there giving birth to your child!" I snap at Alec, who in return holds his hands up in surrender.
I hear one more scream. Then I hear a baby crying. I stop pacing and look at the infirmary door. I bounce on my feet waiting for Maryse or Jocelyn to come get me.
Jocelyn head peaks out of the door. "Jace come meet your son." I look over at Luke. He nods at me.
A smile forms across my face. I walk into the infirmary. I walk over the the bed Clary's in. I kiss her forehead and grab her hand. I swipe some red hair out of her face. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired. Sore." Her answer is short, but I understand.
"The baby made you scream as load as I can make you scream." I whisper in her ear. She slaps my arm.
Maryse walks over with a baby in a blue blanket. That's my son. That's my son. Maryse hand the baby boy to Clary. He's sleeping. He has a fluffy of blond hair on his head. Clary starts crying happy tears.
I run my hand over his head. His head is so tiny it fits in hand. His eyes open at my movement. He has Clary's green eyes. "Oh, my angel!" Clary crys.
We've already picked out the name. Clary hands me the baby. Baby Jonathan Maxwell Herondale.A FEW HOURS LATER
CLARY'S POV
Jace says we have to keep Jonathan in bed with us. I lay our child down. I start to pull the covers over us. Jonathan starts whimpering. "Oh, baby! What's wrong!" I say to Jonathan. Then he starts crying. Jace picks him up out from under the covers. He instantly stop crying. I smile and take Jonathan and lay him down on the bed over the covers. He cuddles into me. I fell to sleep. With all of us cuddled into each other.
