I knock on Ari and Xavier's door. Ariana opens the door, she's laughing, probably something Xavier said, he can be funny when he wants to be.
"Jon," Ariana says breathlessly, "You don't have to knock."
"Yes you do!" Xavier yells from inside the room, Ari just rolls her eyes.
I shake my head. "Dinner's ready."

Alec passes back and forth.

My eyes trail him.
And of course my eyes also look at the words "Demons Never Die" painted in blood on the wall.
