PROLOUGE

(Y/n) was awoken from his bed by his mom.
Mom: Y/n. Wake up. We need to go.
(Y/n): where are we going?
Mom: Away from here. They are coming. And they already killed your father.
(Y/n): Who?
Mom: The white Fang.

(Y/n) jumped out of bed and ran to the front door with his mom. Everyone knows the White Fang. They murder humans so that people will fear faunas. As soon as his mom opened the door, a bunch of soldiers grabbed her. (Y/n) looked around and saw that they were burning houses and were killing people. (Y/n) closed the door and ran to the backyard. Once he opened the backdoor, he got grabbed by a white Fang member.

WF: You need to run kid. I don't want to see you get hurt. If you go behind those trees there is a house, I am telling all of the kids I see to go there.

Then a man wearing all red and a red mask while holding a red katana landed behind the guy.
???: I see you found a kid, kill him.
WF: I can't do it Adam. I told myself I would never hurt a kid. I don't care if they are human.

The guy, Adam, went and sliced the guy who had grabbed (Y/n). (Y/n) ran as soon as the guy let go. He listened to the guy and found an old building. He snuck inside and found a girl who was crying. She didn't look too much younger then (Y/n). She saw him and jumped up ready to run.

(Y/n): Wait. I'm not here to hurt you. I was told to come here by a guy.

The girl just looked at him.

(Y/n): They killed my family. I don't know how my sister is doing. I don't know what to do. And I don't want to be alone. He started crying. I am terrified.

He sat down and was just bawling. The girl slowly walked up to him and sat down across of him. She just looked at him. He just kept crying. After a minute, the door burst open and white Fang members started running through the door. Both of them jumped up. Soon they we're surrounded. Then Adam walked through the group till he was right next to the kids.

Adam: You two are the last survivors of the attack. We will only let one of you live. You two must choose though. And if you...
(Y/n): I will die. You already killed my family, and I won't like myself if you kill her. So kill me.

White Fang members grabbed the girl and she started freaking out. But she wasn't yelling.

Adam: I see. He pulled out his sword. Then let's make this quick.

He stabbed (Y/n) in the chest and pulled his sword out. (Y/n)'s body fell to the ground and everyone except for the girl left. As soon as she was let go, she started crying. After a few minutes, she heard coughing. She looked around until she saw (Y/n) sit up and start patting himself where he got stabbed. Then he looked around. Soon he was hugged from behind by the girl.

(Y/n): Did you heal me?
She shook her head.
(Y/n): Can you talk?
Again she shook her head.
(Y/n): Do you want to come with me?
She nodded.
(Y/n): Well, my name is (Y/n). What's yours?
She looked around and saw a note pad. She grabbed it and wrote. My name is Neo.
(Y/n): Well Neo. Nice to meet you. Now let's go. My sister should be fine with taking care of us.
We walked out of the house and followed the trail avoiding Grimm and trying to stay calm.

TWO DAYS LATER (Y/N)'S POV
We had been walking for a while and soon we saw a village. My sister's village to be exact. Now me and Neo hadn't eaten for a couple of days so we were tired. I had Neo on my back because she couldn't walk anymore.
Me: We are almost there Neo. We will be able to relax soon.

I started running with Neo on my back to my sister's house. Once we got there, I knocked on the door. No one answered. I knocked again. No answer.

Me: Maybe she is at the store.
I then put Neo down and sat next to her. We both ended up falling asleep.
I woke up later and I was the middle of the night. I could feel Neo asleep on me. I picked her up and looked at the house. I tried the door and it was unlocked. I went and put Neo on the couch and went to look around. I walked the whole downstairs then walked up the stairs. I looked around and opened a door to see my sister hanging. I screamed. I slammed the door closed and backed up into the wall. I fell to the floor and started crying. Soon Neo was next to me. I pointed to the room and kept crying. She looked in, saw the scene, came back and sat next to me. I hugged her like she was the only thing left in the world to me. And she was. She just sat there letting me hug her. Not doing anything.

Soon I heard a knock. I stood up and walked to the door to see a man.
Man: I heard a scream. Is everything okay?
Me: She killed herself. My sister hung herself.
Man: That is terrible. Where are your parents?
Me: Killed two days ago by the White Fang.
Man: Do you have anyone else?
Me: Only my friend Neo.
Neo walked up to us at this time and waved to the man.
Man: That's it? No one else?
Me: No.
Man: I'm sorry for your lost. Hopefully you two stay well.
Me: Wait. What is your name?
Man: Ozpin.

He walked away leaving me and Neo alone. The next day Neo and I packed as much food as we could and started walking. We told the cops and they moved her body. We ended up staying till after the funeral. We buried her in the backyard. The mayor said that the house was forever ours. Then me and her walked out of town until we ended up at Vale.

SEVEN YEARS LATER
I was sitting in an ally way. Neo disappeared. I couldn't find her. I hadn't stopped. I hadn't slept, hadn't eaten, I was a mess. Then this guy showed up.
