I get my black backpack from underneath my bed, swinging it over my shoulder- putting it on.
I ended up putting a blanket over my body mirror hanging on my wall.
To prevent my horrifying reflection from scarring me, of course.
I shoved my black lighter into my jacket's pocket,- considering I settled to keep my black zip up on.
I turned off all the lights inside my bedroom, and made my way downstairs.
I ended up leaving a written note on the kitchen counter reading;
Hey Cam, I'm gonna spend a few nights at Max's house. Love you, text me if you need anything.

I would've left a note for my mom too, but it's not like she'll be home anytime soon. She never is.
She's always too busy working and getting drunk. I can't tell you how many times she's came home with a different guy.
Cameron and I both made a pact that she's no longer allowed in this house.
After all, she didn't pay for anything.
We both did.
I set the pen that I used down beside the note, and headed out the door.

The ringing in my ear was deafening.
