Normal POV
Ten minutes of waiting at the dampened train stop, the train officially arrived.
In the time of waiting, I grabbed my dark colored baseball cap out of my backpack and set it upon my head.
Maxie and I both put on our black masks, making only our eyes visible.
The doors of the train opened slowly as we made our way in. We decided to sit in two empty seats near the back.
The seats were a shiny dark blue, complimenting the white window tables.
The train began to move after a few minutes of random people speckling the seats.
The city lights passed by like fireflies as I opened my backpack and snatched out a leather journal.
I set the item on the table as I also grabbed out my lighter.
My dad's lighter.
We'll be safe, dad. Don't worry.
I spoke in my head as I flickered the small box.
The flames illuminated my face as I ignored everything around me.
I missed him.

And nothing could get him back.
