Teammates Thought Me Wrong (book one)

Chapter 10 - Too easy!!

I knew exactly where they were hiding. However, they kept changing locations. So we all split up.

I was with Laura and Lilly and Taylor was with Skylar. I could smell Lindsay and Shannon.

I sniffed them out and figured out where they were. They were outside. A little disadvantage for me, but hey, I'm prepared. When we came around the corner I spotted Shannon and Lindsay behind a raspberry bush. They saw us. "Shannon!" Said Lindsay. "They found us! Run!"

We chased them around the hotel but we couldn't catch them so I went around the corner to try and cut them off. I then looked around the corner. They were coming that way, so I stayed there and waited. I was laughing inside.

When they came around the corner I scared them half to death as they fell to the ground and I tagged them. "Wow!" Shannon said. "I didn't know that you would be the one to catch us." Lindsay was just lying on the ground laughing.

Now it was our turn to hide. We split up again, but in different groups. I was with Lilly and Laura was with Taylor and Skylar. Lilly and I found a hiding place near the entrance of the hotel. There was a bush and it was blocking a space small enough to fit four people. However, We decided to go in there anyway.

With Laura, Taylor, and Skylar, they roamed the halls of the hotel and when they saw any opponents, they'd run before being seen.

After five minutes, in our hiding place, we heard Gabby's voice. "Oh. Guys. Come out wherever you are." She said. There was no answer. I then threw a rock over to where they just were. Gabby, Kelli, and Shannon heard it and we watched them run by us. They finally went off into the woods.

"So, Lilly." I said. "How long have you been playing?" She sighed. "Maybe eight to nine years." She said. "I'm sixteen now and I'm staying on the 16u for another year." I smiled a bit. "Me too." I said. "But I will be sixteen in September." "Wow," She said. "I thought you were already sixteen."

Suddenly we heard a rustle in the bushes. They were back in view, but Shannon looked different. She was pale. So were Gabby and Kelli. I started to whimper. "What's wrong?" Lilly whispered. I managed to speak. "They were the same three girls who gave me a hard time before the season started." I said. "I know this sounds stupid, but I don't think they are like us." Lilly then took a peek around the corner. "You're right." She said. "What do you think -" I covered her mouth. Shannon was talking to Gabby and Kelli and they were right in front of the bush.

"Listen, we need to find them soon or we will find out what they're up to." She said. "Sara and Lindsay have gotten Laura, Skylar, and Taylor, but I have a feeling Madi is up to something. I mean, remember the night of the championship? She was not herself. I just know it." Then they walked around the building.
