Coach Emma walked up to me before the game. "Madi, I would like you to play center field for half of the game." She said. "Shannon will pitch the first three innings."

We were warming up and we saw a team we have never played before. Before I had a feeling, I heard the umpire say that the game will be pushed to six. Oh crap. I thought. The moon rises at six thirty.

The time flew past and it was five thirty. I was so nervous. We were playing the Mass Drifters. They are an elite team. As I finished warming up, I walked into the outfield and practiced. Coach Neil threw me fly balls. I caught them with no mistakes.

It was six. I was on the bench drinking water bottle after water bottle. Coach Emma walked over to me. "Good." She said. "Drink up. You need it." She walked out as Lilly walked in with her gear on. "So, do you think you can hold it in?" Lilly asked. "I don't know." I said. "The moon is up soon and it's not even a waning gibbous. It's full. Im going to go crazy and play like I'm not myself. My eyes are still yellow."

"Madi." She said. "Just try your best and don't pay attention to it."

"Thanks." I said. "I'll try."
