After that day, I didn't talk to him, I didn't allow him to touch me, and I never looked at him.

So pretty much, I was ignoring him and giving him the silent treatment. His little sister, which I found out was named Mindy, invited me to go to the mall with her, saying that she wanted some girl time without being hounded by Noah.

"Alright." She sighed, hopping from my bed and stretching. "Let's head out before Noah comes back."

I smirked. This was the perfect way to not only get away, but to get back at him for saying those words. He had no right. It wasn't my fault that my true parents abandoned me and left me on the doorstep of my family.

We slipped out my door, sneaking past the kitchen and into the large garage, taking her sleek black Ford from the garage and peeling down the road.

The trees past in blurs, molding into pavement and houses after a near half hour on the road.

"I know a really good store in the mall, we could go there first." Mindy said, breaking the silence.

I nodded, watching as we pulled up to the mall. I hopped out from the car, quickly followed by Mindy. We made our way into the mall, side by side. Boys stared and whistled as we passed, earning fake flirty smiles and waves from us. We giggled as this one blushed and looked away. He was cute not going to lie.

"But still less than Noah." Willows sighed dreamily in my brain.

My eyes went wide and I vigorously shook my head, scolding her mentally while we walked into a store. For the next hour we looked and tried on clothes. I settled with a wide collared, short sleeved black crop top, navy green jeans with rips in the fabric, a denim long sleeved jacket, and black and white converse high tops. Mindy settled with grey short shorts, a red spiked belt and a silver chain, and a sleeveless crop top to go under a sheered crop top with blood shaped as a heart, the sleeves ending above her elbows. Her shoes consisted of high dark brown leather lace up boots, ending below the knees.

We giggled to each other as we made our way towards the food court, getting something to eat. As we nibbled on our buttered and salted pretzels, she finally spoke.

"You know, if you want to go home, I can take you." She said, looking at me.

I nearly choked on my smoothie, coughing.

"Wh-What?" I wheezed.

She snickered.

"If you want, I can take you home. If we cover your scent, he won't be able to track you. He doesn't even know where you live."

I swallowed. This was a golden opportunity, to be able to leave him, to go back to my family and live normally, even if it's just for a day.

But....

"I can't." I said. "I have to look out for Layla. I can't just leave her there."

She smiled, placing a hand on my own.

"She's fine. Ryan is a much bigger sweetheart than Noah. He'll treat her like a queen."

I hesitated. I still didn't trust him, since he helped kidnap us. But Mindy had known him longer....

I sighed, giving her a small smile.

"Okay. I'll do it."
