Have the no life of their own? Why can't people mind their own damn business for once?
We both agreed to keep our relationship private, away from the public eye, and I respect that decision. I just wish everyone else would. The rumors of us dating have gotten worse in the previous months, and I do not understand why. We haven't told anyone, Mrs Hudson doesn't even know (well she may know, you tend to be very loud), and we have been careful in public.
Personally I'm not concerned about the news getting out, I know that you are worried what it would do to my reputation, how it may effect my clientele. You're worried that media and reporters will become even more ruthless, that they will not leave us alone. But I also know that there is a deeper reason behind your fears of going public, a more personal reason. You don't have to tell me, I will not push you.
The rumors are only getting worse, the only way for them to get better is for the media to see us separate from each other. Lestrade has recommended me a case in Ireland, I should be gone no more than four days.
I will be missing you every moment I am gone, but it is for the best. I'm leaving for you, for us, so that we may finally be at peace. I will see you in four days.
