Alex pt 2

Kate's morning begins with a kiss on the cheek from Emaline and a knock on the door from her father letting her know that there's cereal downstairs for breakfast. The 2 reluctantly get up and dressed. They head downstairs to eat and then they go out the door. For the first time in about a week they're early so they decide to head of back towards the playground for a short walk around and then to go get their books. As the round the corner they see Alex, sitting under the play set with her head in her hands. Alex looks up and sees them, she gets up and is ready to run but her legs are too tired to move, so she's stuck. Emaline quickly notices this and runs up to her, "Alex are you okay?"
"I'm fine." She states bluntly.
"You sure?" Kate asks.
"Yes, now would you please leave me alone." She's getting frustrated
With that the girls think it's best to go and they do. "That was kinda weird dot you think?" Kate inquires.
"Yeah, it was, usually she's all over me."
"I know and I don't hate it but it's kinda scaring me"
They head into the school and grab their books and with a quick kiss they head off to their morning duties.

When emaline gets to class she doesn't see Alex, now she's worried even though she just met this girl, she's the only gay besides Kate that she's ever met so she feels like a connection in a way.  She goes to check the bathroom, she finds Alex stood in front of the mirror crying. Alex see her and immediately runs into a stall. "Alex it's me, emaline, I'm a little worried about you, what's wrong?"
"If I tell you, do you promise not to tell anyone?"
"Of course." Wow emaline is getting good at the whole being nice thing. The stall to opens and Alex emgeres with a swollen and brused face, emaline audibly gasps which results in Alex covering her face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"Its fine just please be quiet"
Emaline nods in response
"So longs story short I think I just got kicked out Of my house and my da-wait why am I telling you all of this?"
Emalines jaw is now on the floor, "Oh would you close your mouth, Christ sakes girl!"
"Sorry..."
"No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you this or acted the way I did, I'm just tired"
"It's okay, really, I get it."
"You do?"
"Yeah, I do. I got kicked out for dating Kate."
"You did?"
"I did." Emaline nods, "luckily I have an awesome girlfriend who took me in" she smiles. "How about we skip school so you can get some sleep?"
"I would but you don't have a place and I don't know about you bringing me to Kate's house for the day."
"Oh shit you're right." She agrees "but you can't stay I here all day either"
"How about you take me to Kate's to put some make up on to cover my bruses and then we come back?"
"I'm okay with that." The pair head to the messner residence.
