Kate hasn't seen Emaline all day and she's worried. She hasn't seen Alex either and even though is pains her to say she's worried about her too. It's only 10am and they're supposed to be in class together right now but Emaline is no where to be seen. Kate starts to make herself feel sick with worry. Maybe the bullies got her, maybe shes sick in the bathroom, or even worse she's sick in the bathroom alone with Alex. Her blood begins to boil and her stomach starts to turn. She excuses herself from her class and heads to the bathroom, no one, then the next one, no one, she finally checks the last one, no one. Her worry becomes increasingly worse, she decides is best for her to go home. Kate goes to the office and asks her dad to go home. She walks to the office and pushes the door open, "dad, I don't feel well, can I go home?"
"Yes of course sweetheart. Do you want a ride?"
"No dad I'll be fine walking, maybe the freash air will make me feel better."
"Okay honey."
Kate turns and leaves. She walks down the empty halls and some how she feels as if the school is mimicking how she feels inside. Empty. She packs her stuff up and heads out the doors. 10 minutes later she's at her front door, she gets her key and puts it in the door. The doors unlocked. Funny, Emaline must be here. She enters and calls out to Emaline, no answer. She heads up to her room. There Emaline was. With Alex. Alone. Alex was putting makeup on and Emaline was sitting next to her with her arm around her waist.
"Emaline?!" Both girls jump.
"Hey babe!" Emaline says cheerily and gets up to kiss her. Kate pushes her away.
"You had me worried sick! Why didn't you tell me you had left?"
"I don't know, I'm sorry"Emaline shurgs
"And why did you bring her here?!"
"She was badly bruised and I know what it's like to have to hide bruises babe. You don't have to worry we weren't doing anything."
"Emaline I wasn't even thinking about that! I'm upset because you didn't tell me."
"I'm really sorry baby." Emaline approched Kate and hugs her. Kate leans down and kisses her.
''I'm sorry for freaking out like that..."
"No, don't be, you were right to. I should've told you."
"I love you."
"I love you too." "Why are you here anyway?" Emaline inquired.
"I felt really sick."
"Oh sit down!"
"I will." "Alex how are your bruises?"
"They're as covered as they will get" she states.
"Well I guess we could all stay her for the day"
"Really!" Emaline and Alex say together.
"Yeah! Let's go watch a movie." They make their way down the stairs and into the living room.
