Kate and Emaline are cuddling on the couch talking about pretty much anything.
"Emaline? Do you ever think that eventually the whole world will end and nothing that we did on this earth will mean anything because we're all just going to die anyway?"
"Wait, What! Kate, sweetie that's so ridiculously morbid are you sure you're Okay?"
"Yeah, I was just wondering what you think of that?"
"Why were you even thinking about that?!"
"I don't know. I just wanted to talk about something philosophical."
"Oh... Okay, babe. Love you."
"Love you too!"
The front door suddenly opens. " honey we're..."
"Um hi, Mom..." Emaline's mother is the exact opposite of Emaline. Very strict, very put together and very collected. There was a look of disgust on her face. Emaline noticed and said. " Mom it's not what it looks like, she's just my friend." She panicked as she scrambled off of kate. Her father follows suit. "It's exactly what it looks like you little dyke." Emaline's mother shouts.
"Mom... please." Emaline is crying while Kate is internally screaming at herself to do something but she's paralyzed with fear.
"Get out. I want you out of my house. Until you can learn from your mistakes and become my daughter again you are not allowed in my house, you demon!" Her father shouts. The two girls quickly get up and run to the emalines room. They pack a bag and drive to Kate's house. Kate and Emaline practically break down the door when they burst into the house. Mr. Messner is alarmed by the commotion from the front door and runs towards the noise thinking some drunk just broke into the house. "Who the hell-kate, Emaline? Are you two Okay?"
"Dad Emaline just got kicked out of her house after her parents found us cuddled on the couch."
"Oh, Jesus Christ. You're welcome to stay as long as you would like. I'm so sorry love."
"Thank you, Mr. Messner."
That night Kate and Emaline get in bed, kate is cradling Emaline in her arms "goodnight baby, I love you so so much."
"I love you to sweetie"
Kate kisses Emaline with love and compassion. She pulls away and they both drift off the sleep.
