Two Days Later
Serena's P.O.V
I was released from the hospital last night with Jordyn. I haven't spoken to or seen Roman in two days. So I expected them two to be gone and me into an empty house
Well, i expected wrong. They were still here. Although I didn't say anything, I wanted both of them the fuck out of my house
I laid in my bed watching Jordyn sleep. There was a soft knock on my door. I was seriously thinking about quickly locking the door, but I decided to stay quiet
Then!, Roman came in uninvited
I glared at him and mouthed Get out!
Roman shook his head and I got up. I quickly walked over to him
"Why aren't you gone yet?!" I tried not to wake Jordyn
"I'm not leaving at all" Roman strictly said
"Yes u are and ur taking Jessica and your baby with you!"
"I'm staying here with you"
"No. I think u chose when I called you. U chose Jessica"
"I couldn't be both places at once!"
"But you could've been where you needed to be. You said you were going to be there!"
"I wanted to be there"
"The one thing you had to do for me in nine months" I rolled my eyes
"And I'll do what I have to do for 18 years"
"You can start by leaving because I don't need you"
"But you want me. My daughter needs me"
"WANTED. Past tense. I really don't care about you anymore. And I know a bunch of people who can help me with Jordyn. Trustworthy people"
"I care about you! I care about our daughter"
"You don't even know her name!"
"You wouldn't tell me, but you just did. Jordyn"
"Because you weren't there when you said you were going to. Nothing's changed about you. Ur still unreliable and untrustworthy"
"I have changed. For our family" Roman held my wrist
I snatched it away "Leave" I clearly and strictly said "U have Jessica.....which is what you always wanted, right" I squinted my eyes
"You can't keep me from Jordyn"
Roman didn't say anything, he just left the room
I closed and locked my door. I sat in the rocking chair and just stared into space
"I'm letting you know that we're leaving...." Roman said through the door
I quickly grabbed a copy of the birth certificate and slid it under the door "Bye" I said carelessly
After a few seconds, I heard footsteps walked away
I laid back down next to Jordyn
Evening
I hadn't realized I fell asleep. I heard a knock on the door and I slowly walked to it. I looked through the peephole and I instantly smiled
"Hey Caleb" I opened the door
"Hey......is this a bad time? You look like u were sleeping"
"I was but it's OK. What are u doing here"
"I was wondering if you and your baby wanted go to the beach and watch the sunset"
"Sure. Give me a minute" I cheesed and gently closed the door
I grabbed Jordyn and her stroller and gently put her in it. I grabbed her bag
Beach
"So what's her name" Caleb asked as we sat on a bench
"Jordyn"
"Cute. What's her full name"
I nervously laughed. Jordyn's middle name was close to Caleb's last name. I intended to do that. I never thought I'd see Caleb again so........ Well, you know how people want to remember someone or something that meant something to them. Although Caleb and I never dated, I always had strong feelings for him. I just wanted to remember my first love......
"I think I'll tell you later" I smiled
"OK. How are u"
"I'm ok" I lied "how about you"
"Fine. If u don't mind me asking..... Where's Jordyn's father...."
"He's staying in a hotel. He's a wrestler too"
"Really"
"yeah. Roman Reigns"
"He's my cousin"
I froze "For real?!"
"Yea. Samoan families ARE pretty big" Caleb smiled
I looked at him, not smiling
"What's wrong"
"Your cousin's a dick"
Caleb laughed
I made the most serious face "I'm serious. He's a jerk"
"I didn't think he would be to women. He is a ladies man"
"Too much of one" I rolled my eyes to keep a tear from falling..
"I'm sorry...... "
"No. It's ok"
Caleb grabbed my hand and I pulled it away "I kinda...... Remember you being like Roman...."
"How"
"You were a laides man.... In front of me"
"I'm sorry"
"Yea.... That shit hurt"
"My birthday is next week. Do u wanna come?"
I didn't if Roman was going to be there "Who's going to be there"
"Friends and family"
"Roman?....."
"Most likely" Caleb shrugged
"I don't wanna come...... "
"Because of Roman"
"It's a really long story but yes"
"Come on, it still be fun"
I shrugged and Caleb softly kissed me. I didn't expect it but I really wanted to ride him!......
I instantly kissed back and my heart nearly stopped. I didn't want this to go far yet. I pulled back and looked the other way, blushing
"Is something wrong" Caleb asked
"It's just.......idk" I shrugged
"Do u like me?"
"Did you pay attention to the way we used to act towards each other" I raised my eyebrows
Caleb laughed. I blushed. I never had the courage to ask Caleb out but I definitely sent signals. I even sent him an anonymous valentine card. He knew it was me but that was one of the few times we talked in 2nd semester
Caleb grabbed my hand again and we continued watching the sunset
