Serena nodded, trying not to cry. I walked into the room. We sat beside each other on the couch
"How are u holding up" I asked Serena as she laid Jordyn on her stomach on the couch
"Not any better..... " Serena's eyes watered
"It'll get better. Trust me"
"I wish I could....." Serena's bottom lip quivered
"Babe... I mean Serena!, you just have to stay positive. Every ending is a new beginning" I smiled
Serena opened her mouth to say something. I was waiting for it to come out but it never did
"Come here... " I gestured to my lap
"Ro" -(gco) Serena stopped herself because I was basically pleading
She slowly got up and sat on my lap. I wiped a tear on Serena's cheek with my thumb
"Thanks..... " Serena looked away
"You two should talk.... "
"No" Serena quickly said
"You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re reading the last one" I smiled
I saw Serena trying to hold back a smile. I kissed her on the cheek and Serena stood up. I stood up with her. I grabbed her waist and pulled us close together

I kissed Serena before she could finish talking. Serena kept her lips closed though. I grabbed her face and kissed her deeper. Then, Serena kissed back. She put her hand on my chest
Serena's P.O.V
I kept thinking about what Roman said about starting a new chapter. All I've done for a long time is re read the last chapter. I've just been thinking about the past and I wouldn't let go. I hate myself for the way I've been acting. And I think now....... I forgive Roman. I can't forget though.
I kissed Roman even more as I lifted my hands up his shirt
Roman's P.O.V
Whoa! Was this really happening? Serena was giving in.....
I stepped back from Serena. "Um..... Wow. I didn't expect that... From you" I said
"You're right. I can't keep looking back at the past. I forgive you..... "
I smiled and quickly pressed my lips against Serena's. I felt her smile in between our kiss
Serena pushed herself away from me "You have to go"
I understand why. I left without questioning

I sighed and sat back on the couch. I rubbed Jordyn's back as she slept. I stared at my phone for a few seconds. You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re reading the last one.........I kept thinking about what Roman said. I guess I should move on and probably make amends with Caleb. I slowly picked up my phone and called him

I stayed silent. Trying to say something back but tearing up again. All the came out of my mouth was a measly squeak
