Chapter 02

♾ Jughead ♾

"Jughead, are you even listening to us?" Sweat Pea asked me and this way, getting me out of my thoughts. Betty was on my mind the whole time. The Serpents were called for a meeting, well more like I asked for one. Even though I am not one of them, I still help them. The younger Serpents were my friends, we got along with each other - although that Sweat Pea isn't the biggest fan of me but we mange - and so they agreed.

"Either you're here with your full mind or you can leave" Fangs added, while Toni just looked at me.

"I am, guys. Let's just continue" I mumbled, taking out a paper.

"What is that, Jones?" Sweat Pea asked, trying to get a better look of it.

"Ugh, don't call me by my last name and secondly, this is the plan of the main base of the Ghoulies" I explained, rolling the map out on the table, so everybody could see it.

"So you're saying that you had a map with you, where you can see everything from the Ghoulies the whole time??" Toni snapped and I scoffed.

"No, of course not. I got it a few hours before from... an informand" I replied, glaring at her.

"And who is that 'informand'?" Sweat Pea asked. I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm.

"Could you all just trust me for once? I'm giving you a map of the whole Gholie teritory and the only thing yoyu are concerned about is from where I got it" I sighed "What I'm trying to say is, we finally have a plan and we can probably end the thing with the Ghoulies soon"

"And how are you planing to do this?" Sweat Pea asked me.

"To be honest, I don't think that this is a good idea because it could end in a showdown" I explained.

"Are you kidding me, Jughead??" Toni walked over to me.

"No, I'm not. I'm sure that this could work, if we win it" I answered, surprisingly calm.

"But we won't win that. The ghoulies are out to us one to ten, at least. We could never survive this. A fight right now would probably kill us all" Toni really gets on my nerves sometimes - but luckily, Sweat Pea saved me.

"I would prefer to die as a fighter than as a coward. If this is the only way to cut the Ghoulies out, than I'm in"

"I'm too" Fangs said, placing a hand on Sweat Pea's shoulder.

"You guys are crazy, we would never survive. We will die if we go out now. Would you really risk to do it? Would you risk to die because of the Ghoulies?" Toni tried again.

"Toni, I sent Penny a clear message in the past and she didn't agree. She came back and she will regret it, for everything she did to us"

"And a fight will help??"

"I don't know Toni, okay?! But we have to do something before it's too late for it and before the Ghoulies will win everything!" I yelled, throwing my hands on the table in front of us.

"Excuse me, are you mad at me because I want to live and not die the next night?!" though before anything could happen, Fangs stepped between us.
