Jughead

*June*

Betty shook me out of sleep.

"Betts? What's wrong?"

"I think that my water just broke. We have to go to the hospital" she said, reaching for my hand to squeeze it. I blinked, having to comprehend what she was saying before nodding.

"Yeah- Yeah, we should" I said, sitting up. Still carried by sleep, I slowly stood up and then walked over to the closet to grab some pants.

"The twins are coming" I said, turning around, just now realizing what 'my water broke' meant.

The twins are on their way.

"Yes, they are" she said, somehow still keeping calm through this while I already felt the panic rising.

"Okay, you get to the car and I'll- I'll grab the bag real quick" I said, already heading to the nursery room. After I fetched the bag, I headed back outside while Betty was still walking down the stairs. At the front door, I slipped on my shoes before helping Betty with hers and also helping her with her jacket. Even though it was June, the nights could still be cold and I didn't want her to get sick. I grabbed my keys before we headed outside. After locking the front door, we walked over to our car and I helped Betty to sit down in the passenger seat, buckling her up. Then I walked over to the other side of the car, sitting down in the drivers seat.

"Okay. Everything will be okay, Betts. We are just going to be parents in a bit. Nothing- Nothing to worry about" I said, buckling up. Betty nodded, reaching for my hand.

"Exactly. Everything is fine. Try to calm down, okay? Because I'm going to need you tonight, Jug"

"I know"

"So take a deep breath for me, okay?" I nodded, doing so "just like you said, everything will be okay. We are staying together, right?"

"Right. I'm with you. No leaving anymore. I will stay with you all the time"

"Even when I scream at you to leave?"

"Even then. No leaving this time, Betty" I said and she nodded.

"Okay, then let's go"

After I drove her to the hospital, I admitted us. Though we had to wait in another room for at least two other hours before we got to move on to the delivery room.

At 9.32am Myles was born and twelve minutes later, his sister, Emilia, followed. Both were healthy.

"We did it" Betty said, holding Emilia, who was wrapped in a yellow blanket, while I was holding Myles, who was wrapped in a white blanket.

"Yes, you really did. You did such an awesome job, Betts" I whispered, leaning forward to kiss her on the forehead.

"They are so tiny, aren't they?" She asked, stroking her finger over Emilia's tiny head. I nodded, rocking Myles softly as he scrunched up his face.

"How could we make such miracles?"

"They are perfect, Jug"

"They really are" I paused "I wanted to ask you something. I know that my dad... wasn't always..." I sighed "good. But, if he's back on track — and only then — I thought that we could maybe introduce them to him. It won't be right now or even necessarily very soon, just at some point. I want to give him the choice, you know? To get to know them"

"Of course he can meet them"

"Really?"

"Yes. If he's good, wants to get to know them and treats them right, then he can get to know them"
