I went to work for as long as I could but I was running out of things to do. I thought about texting Mason and having him cheer me up but I wasn't really in the mood to explain what had happened. I still didn't really know so I didn't know how I was expected to explain it to someone. We both over reacted at something stupid, that's pretty much it. Him more than me but I wasn't going to say that out loud.
I got home and it was the late afternoon. I cleaned up the place a little and when I went into the bedroom I was met with Sonny's stuff in the corner. I walked over to it and picked up the first shirt on top. I suppose I could wash it all for him. I sighed and grabbed as much as I could and threw it all on the ground. I separated everything and started laundry throwing some of my things I needed washed in with his.
I almost wished the apartment was dirty so I had something to clean but the place was literally spotless. I had thought about calling my dad to get the ball rolling on this whole me starting my own business ordeal but I wasn't in the mood to think about any of that.
I plugged my ipod in to the speakers that were in the living room and played a playlist of all Fleetwood Mac because it was about as opposite as you could get from anything Sonny would do. Smile At You was the first song that played and I sat on the couch staring into space waiting for the first round of laundry to get done.
'I could not be her. I did not want to. My first mistake was to smile at you.' Stevie Nicks vocals flooded over the speaker and I sighed and fell back on the couch staring at the ceiling.
Eventually I was able to start to second load of laundry and by the time it was all done I was able to fold it all and place it in neat piles next to his suite case. My day was spent doing laundry and staring at the wall. I plopped back down on the couch and continued to look at the ceiling getting lost in my own thoughts.
Sonny's POV
I ended up walking to the studio I was currently using because it was only a few blocks. Baylee's apartment was actually in a pretty dope location, convenience wise. I texted Anton to let him know I was there because he said he wanted to hear to EP.
I was beyond annoyed and completely over this day and it wasn't even 10am yet. I touched everything up and the only thing I was waiting on was finishing Summit and working with The Doors. It was going to be the first thing dropped out of my own label and I was beyond excited to see it all actually happen.
I had already decided I was getting the logo tattooed on my arm at the end of this week. I was told that was bad luck, like getting your girlfriends name tattooed or something but I wasn't superstitious or anything.
"What's up man?" I heard Anton say from behind me. I jumped a little and he laughed. "Someone's out of it." He put a hand on my shoulder and stood behind me. "I'm excited to hear this new stuff." He looked at my screen and pulled the chair up next to me.
"Excited to release it all." I told him.
"Well let's here it." He said and I set everything up so it would sound perfect. I started with Bangarang and was just going to make my way down the list. We both bobbed our heads to the music but I wasn't really paying attention to anything other than the beat.
I remembered the last time I was in LA I showed Baylee Bangarang for the first time. I thought about all the tracks she's heard before anyone else. I was still pissed off she would think I would cheat on her or anything. I clearly only had eyes for her. I don't know how I could make that anymore obvious.
If anyone should be worried, it's me. She was drop fucking dead gorgeous. It didn't take long to notice how unwanted eyes would follow her every movement. I wasn't an idiot. I'd even notice people in my crew or friends throwing glances at her. Fucking Joel the last time I was home didn't even try to hide it. I watched him watch her ass as she walked across the room.
