Couldn't Stay Away

I was so excited when Maggie came over late that night. I still had a cough going but the doctors told me that would probably last a while and by the next morning I was feeling pretty damn good. Maggie and I jumped on a plane to Florida the next morning and we were both feeling pretty giddy to be getting out and doing something not work related. When we landed we took a cab to the hotel I knew Sonny was staying at thanks to Hog. He let us drop our shit off in his room so we didn't have to buy a room and then we were in a cab to the place Sonny was performing. They were all there so early to set the cell up. 

Hog texted me and told me they were in a back room and he even sent someone out to give us passes so we could surprise Sonny. I coughed a bit before entering the place but better to get it all out now than ruin the surprise. 

We sneaked into the back avoiding people at all costs and we made it to the room Hog told me they were in. Sonny was sitting on some tiny stool in the middle of the room with his back to me talking to Hog who tried not to look up when we snuck in. 

I crept up behind Sonny and covered his eyes, smiling. 

"What the hell?" He said not moving. I was going to tell him to guess who it was but I figured my voice would give it away so I stayed taciturn. "Who is this?" He asked grabbing my wrists. I knew he wasn't going to guess so I took my hands off his eyes and put them over his shoulders and leaned on him. 

"You didn't guess. That's the whole point of the game!" I whinned. 

"Baylee." He said jumping up and spinning around. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked hugging me. More like squeezing the life out of me but I wasn't complaining. 

"Surprise!" I said laughing. He grabbed my face and kissed me which earned a cat call whistle from Hog. 

"You shouldn't be traveling." He said and I shrugged him off. 

"I'm feeling better." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Hi Maggie." He said stepping over to give her a hug too. 

"Hey Skrilly." She hugged back and went to sit down. "I heard this Cell thing you're doing is amazing." She said and I smiled at him when he came back over to me. 

"It's pretty damn cool." Hog said for Sonny. 

I went to sit next to Maggie on th couch and I could feel Sonny's eyes following my every movement like I was made of glass. 

"But you want to know what I'm really excited for?" Maggie said pointing at me. "Fucking Tomorrowland." She said and I instantly smiled. 

"Plus one!" I said throwing my arm around her shoulder. 

"Ride of die." She said and I'm sure we looked like a lesbian couple at that moment. 

"I was thinking about getting Luke like the whole package thing for his birthay. You know, with the flight and all that crap." I said. "The two of them have done so much for me in such a short amount of time." I told Maggie and she nodded. 

"Fucking Mason is like the energizer bunny when it comes to work. I can't keep up." She laughed and I smiled. 

"I know. I love it." I told her. At this point Sonny and everyone in the room pretty much left us be since we were in our own conversation. Someone came in with the black suite Sonny wore and told him to start putting it on. He followed the guy out and disappeared and Maggie and I just countinued to catch up about everything. Hog came over and offered Maggie a beer which she gladly took. 

"Sorry Bay. I think if I gave you one Sonny would kill me." He said, smirking at me and I rolled my eyes but smiled. 

"It's okay." I said. "But I will take a water if you have any." I said in place.
