"Where does this go?" The movers asked me struggling to carry two large cardboard boxes. I patted my chin and looked around. "I guess set it down anywhere. Nothings set in stone," I said. The mover nodded and entered what would be our dining room with the box. A few moments later my girlfriend of two years, Lauren walked inside carrying pillows in her arms. She dropped the pillows to the ground and let out a sigh. I laughed and shook my head at her end of the world struggle. "I am exhausted," she said lying down on the polished wood floor, with arms spread out as if she was about to make snow angels. "Exhausted? I've been moving in since nine in the morning because you insisted on your beauty sleep and wouldn't answer the phone." I never thought that I would fall in love with my best friend and I sure as hell didn't think I was going to be moving into a flat with her either. Lauren giggled to herself. "I needed to gather all the energy I could to carry all this heavy stuff," she said. I gestured to the items beside her. "You brought in four pillows."

"Can you I don't know, stop judging me?" she joked.

Her father, Michael walked in carrying a box and her brother, Chris was trailing right beside him. "We should have an apartment warning party," Lauren suggested sitting up and braiding the ends of her hair. "Before you even think of that you should get everything moved in and figure out where you want things to go," Mike said. Lauren looked at her dad and layed flat back on the ground. "Dad, you're kind of killing my vibe right now."

"Excuse me for being the logical one," he said. "There is a suitcase in Lauren's car," her father said.

"I'll get it then," I said. Mike nodded. "Then I guess that's everything. I can't believe my first born is moving into her first apartment," he said.

"Papi, my first apartment was with Camila. I think you can save the bird leaving the next spiel," Lauren said. Her dad made a face at her and gave her a big hug before giving me one as well. "You two behave now. I love you, Lauren," he said.

"I love you too," she frowned before giving Chris a hug and watching them walking out with the other mover.

Once the door shut Lauren stood up and locked it before turning to me and seductively looking me the eyes with her green ones. "We're finally alone," she winked walking over to me and draping her arms around my neck. I kissed her lips. "Lauren, we don't even have furniture yet," I stated. She pouted and I kissed her lips. "Now, are you going to help me unpack what we can?"

"I guess I have to.. unless of course--" I cut her off by handing her a box cutter. "Get to work."

The following morning I was woken up to knocking on the door. Lauren and I slept on the wooden floor in the living room, we had pillows and comforters, but it was still uncomfortable. I looked at Lauren who had the pillow over her face trying to ignore the obvious knocking. I jumped to my feet and pulled the door open only to find Camila, one of Lauren's best friends standing there. "Oh come on, it's twelve in the afternoon, you guys can't possibly be sleeping still."

"Well, not anymore. Thanks for the wake up call," I sarcastically said. Camila rolled her eyes and walked past me. "Nice place you guys have here, much more roomy then my place," she said giving herself the grand tour.

"Camila, what are you doing here? We just saw each other yesterday," Lauren said wrapping the covers around herself and walking into what is going to be our bedroom. "I miss you already. We've been living together for two and a half years, and now it's empty. I had to make Harry sleepover last night," she said referring to my curly headed best friend and her boyfriend of almost a year. Lauren laughed and wrapped her arm over Camila's shoulder. "You're going to have a new roommate in no time. Dinah's moving in in three days," Lauren tried to reassure her.

"I know!" Camila sighed throwing her arms up. "But that's three days of no company. You know that there's that annoying creak in the wall. I don't want to hear that when I'm all alone at three in the morning." Camila was taking this harder than the both of us expected. Lauren laughed a little and wrapped her arms around Camila squeezing her in a hug. "You can stay here with us if you want," she offered. I raised my eyebrows and shook my head.

"No, you can't. We love you, Camila, but we don't even have furniture yet. Make Harry stay with you for these three days," I said.

Camila didn't leave for five hours. I had to text Harry and tell him to get her. He called her and told her he needed help with something and she left. I just really wanted to take Lauren out for a nice romantic dinner, the two of us. "So, this is fancy," Lauren said after we ordered. I got a steak and Lauren opted on shrimp scampi. "Only the best for the woman I love," I winked.

"It's rare, I hardly see a romantic side to you," she said. I almost choked on my wine.

"You're kidding right? I practically shower you in roses any oppurtunity I get, I bought you that necklace-" Lauren's outburst of laughter indicated that she was only trying to get a reaction out of me. "Sheesh, if that's all it takes to get you fired up.."

We got out food fifteen minutes later and instantly began devouring it as if we hadn't eaten all day... we hadn't. "You know in some countries it's illegal to move in with your significant other before you're married," Lauren suddenly said twirling her fork around in her pasta. "Are you implying something?" I asked. Lauren smirked and shrugged. "No, I don't think so."

"Lauren, we're going to get married one day. I just want to make sure the timing is right. We're twenty-one and twenty-two, we've got time ahead of us yet."

"I know," she said. "I just want to marry you and start a family one of these days. I don't want to be in a wheel chair before my baby can even walk," she joked. I made a face at her and laughed.

"Don't be absurd," I said.

"Will it happen soon? The proposal?" she pried with a curious smile on her face. "We talk about getting married all the time."

"You can't just force a proposal babe, it'll happen. Just take a deep breath and learn a thing or two about patience," I said.
