"I'm so excited. I can't contain myself," I said just as our flight landed.

"Did Doniya text you back?" Lauren asked. My sister was the only one who knew we were coming because we needed a ride back to the house and didn't want to take the time to take out a rental. I double checked my phone. "Yeah, she said she's here in lobby c."

"We haven't been here in a year," Lauren said staring around the airport as we waited in customs. "It just feels good," she said. "Don't you just feel this breath of fresh air?"

"I definetely do," I said also taking in my surroundings, even if it was a busy airport. I was home.

I love living in Miami, and moving to the states was one hundred percent my descision, but I'm a mamas boy and it was hard sometimes to know that she was only a phone call away.

Going through customs was actually a breeze and when I saw my older sister standing there with a bored expression on her face at the bottom of the escaltor, I ran down toward her. "Doniya!"

"Zayn!" we embraced for a while and told each other how much we missed the other.

"Mum has no idea that we're coming right?" I asked as Doniya said her hellos to Lauren.

"Not a clue in the world. I told her I was off to the market before work."

"You have work?" Lauren pouted.

"Unfortunately and it's a late shift, but I'll stop by tomorrow," Doniya winked at me and Lauren caught it.

"What's this wink about?" she asked.

"Wink? What wink? Here, let me help you with your bags." Doniya reached for Lauren's luggage, and rolled it away as we followed.

Doniya really had to get to work so she dropped us off in front of my childhood home where my mum, dad, and two younger sisters live. "I'll see you tomorrow. Have fun now," she blew us kisses as we gathered our things and climbed out the car.

"Let's do this," Lauren clapped heading toward the house before me. I knocked on the door when I reached it and looked at Lauren who was grinning wide with a grin on her face.

Waliyha was the one to open the door and she had to do a double take, and then she started to scream. "What! How did you guys get here?!" Waliyha's scream made everyone come and check up on her and my mum nearly fell over from shock. "Surprise!" Lauren and I exclaimed.

"Oh, my boy!" my mum was in full blown tears now, and I'll admit I cried a bit too. "Lauren, bring it in!" she held her other arm out and pulled Lauren in and everyone else joined as well making it a group hug.

"This is the best surprise ever! You two-" my mum started fanning at her eyes. "I'm happy, don't mistake these tears. How'd you get here?"

"Doniya," I said.

Waliyha was talking Lauren's ear off while she put pigtails in Safaa's hair. "How long are you here for?"

"Three days. Well four technically but we're leaving on that fourth morning."

"Safaa, Waliyha, can you two go upstairs for a moment while I talk to these two? Go make the bed in Zayn's old room for them."

"Are they in trouble?" Safaa asked.

"Not at all," my mum answered.

My mum sat down between Lauren and I and put on her serious face. "Are things well between you two?" she then asked. I looked over at Lauren and she had a smile on her face.

"They are, yeah." I said with a smirk.

"Where's the ring at?" she asked.

"I've got it in my luggage," I admitted.
