"What's your problem?" Lauren shouted walking into the flat. I let out a sigh and rubbed at my heavy eyes. I had been back for about half an hour and at this point I just wanted to rest. I was drunk as hell and didn't want to hear her lecturing me. I rubbed my hand down my face and placed my pillow over my head.
The bedroom door swung open and in stormed Lauren. She tossed her heels onto the floor. I'm assuming she had already taken them off in the elevator. "Get up!" she shouted. I let out a sigh when she ripped the pillow out of my hands. "I don't want to argue," I said immediately. "I was just defending Normani. Who does that guy think he is touching her ass?"
It was Lauren's turn to sigh. She sat down beside me in the bed and I kissed her hand. "We're getting married in a day and I just didn't want you to get into a fight with those guys and have the police on you for being drunk and disorderly in public and what not. I love you, dude."
Lauren seemed like she genuinely didn't want to fight. I smiled and nodded my head. "I love you, too. I'm sorry. I really do need to find a way to channel my anger rather than lashing out."
She smiled and caressed my cheek, before placing a soft kiss on it. "I'm going to bring you some water, okay?" I nodded and rubbed at my eyes.
"I'm sorry if I ruined your night. I know you probably would have liked to stay out longer," I said when Lauren walked back into the room. She handed me the cup of water which I immediately started chugging. "It's fine. I was having a great time, but it's getting late anyway and I would much rather be home cuddling with you and Depp.. Wherever he is," Lauren said. She glanced around the room. I think he was in the living room. I chugged the water and layed back on the pillow with one arm draped across my forehead. Lauren got into bed and layed her head on my chest.
"We're gonna be okay," I said to her. She didn't say anything. She just reached for my empty hand and wrapped her fingers in mine.
I didn't see Lauren at all the day before the wedding. Usually it was just the night before, but we were both busy making sure that we had everything that we didn't run into each other. I was staying at Harry's place and Lauren was staying at our apartment with all the girls. It was going to be an early morning for her because they all had to go into glams. I could wake up slightly early. I didn't have nearly as much to do as Lauren.
My parents got a rental when they got here late in the evening. They were going to stay with Lauren's family at her childhood home. My cousin was coming here, and my sister was going to my apartment to be with the soon to bride and bridesmaids.
"Tomorrow is the big day. Nervous?" Harry asked. I was zoned out thinking about tomorrow when my cousin, Jawaad nudged me. "So you are nervous?"
"Huh?" I asked.
"Don't tell me you're regretting this," Niall said.
"Regretting it? Never that. I am nervous though, but in the best way. I'm not nervous to start this next step with Lauren. I'm excited as hell," I said.
"Good because if you're starting to get cold feet, let me know. I'll get you a pair of fuzzy socks." I laughed at him. No, despite all of our problems we'd been through, we were getting married.Lauren
I was zoned out watching as my friends bossed around the florists. "Earth to Lauren," Normani waved her hand in my face snapping me back to where we were. "Are you okay?" She asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." I pushed my hair behind my ear. I looked at everything unraveling before me. "Are you sure? Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about this?"
"Me? No- I just- I'm just daydreaming about my special day." Normani clapped her hands together. "I'm so excited for you, and even more excited to strut down that aisle in my bridesmaid dress."
"Don't outshine me," I said.
"No promises," she joked.
