I met Lauren two and a half years ago. She was on a break from uni and wanted to treat herself to a Summer vacation as a reward for being close to graduation. She, Camila and their other best friend, Normani decided on exploring in England. Lauren was barely nineteen when I met her drinking in a pub, her childlike laughter is what caught my attention and made me look up from the drink I was having with my mate, Liam. Liam gave me fourty pounds and betted that I wouldn't talk to Lauren, I did. She wasn't fond of me at first if you ask her the story she'll say, "he was hot but he reeked of cigarettes and apple beer, I was instantly turned off." If you ask me the story, I'll say, "she couldn't keep her eyes off of me and I certainly couldn't keep my eyes off of her."
It took a persistant three weeks before I got Lauren to hang out with me. We spent the day walking around the marketplaces and a bird pooped on Lauren's shoulder. I told her it was good luck and that night we shared our first kiss on the stairs of a shrine to the Queen, and Lauren said it was "kind of weird" and I said, "the kiss?" and she said, "No the fact that someone made a shrine to the Queen on the stairs and we made out on it." I knew she was leaving back to America, but I knew I had to have her. That's when I started my research on all things there were to know about America and soon enough I was moving to Miami. The only way I could afford it is if moved into a house with my four other mates and they happily agreed to it saying they needed 'adventure' in their lives. It was the most spontaneous thing I'd ever done and Lauren thought I was absolutely "bat shit crazy" but I did it. We started dating on January thirteenth and I can say no one has ever made me feel the way Lauren does. I moved across the country for this girl before we were even dating and she was still finishing school. I'd never been so infatuated with someone, it's like she had a spell on me.
Rewind to now and me and my mates are all living our own adult lives. I'm living in my an apartment with my dream girl. My mom thought I was going to get hurt when I told her I was moving, she said I was going to get there and invest so much time and effort just for Lauren to finish uni and have a boyfriend come out of the woodworks. My mother was wrong. Lauren met my mother several times during the course of the time she'd spent in London but she wasn't sure what to think, all she could say was "Those green eyes are a killer." Now, my mother loves Lauren, they are always skying with one another.
"I don't know if I like the bed there," Lauren tapped on her chin and tilted her head. I let out a sigh, we'd been living together for a week now and we just got all of our furniture yesterday. "This is the third place you made me move it, Lauren. It's staying here," I said. I walked up to her and placed a kiss on her lips. "Fine.." she pouted. "I guess it kind of looks okay.. time to decorate!" she smiled gently kicking the boxes on the ground. Most of which were marked fragile. I groaned, and sat on the edge of the unmade bed. "Can't we do something more exciting," I smirked mischeviously.
"More exciting than interior decorating?" Lauren started to laugh. "Don't be ridiculous." She leaned up and kissed me on the cheek. "Grab a box," she smiled.

"Babe," Lauren said with a mouth full of pizza. We had finally finished unpacking everything with the help of all of our friends. It looked incredible in here. Everyone left about two hours ago and Lauren and I ordered delivery. "Yeah?" I asked using my thumb to wipe away the sauce on the corner of her lip. "Since we're all moved in, that means we can finally have a house warming party, right?"
"If that's what you want, then yeah, we can." Lauren's green eyes twinkled and a grin spread on her face. "Yay! I love party planning. Next week, how's next week sound?"
"It sounds very sudden," I said.
"Well yeah, but it's not gonna be a big thing. Just us and friends. Some family."
"My family can't make it," I said since they were all back in England, except my older sister who was in California. "Right.. well we'll figure this out," she kissed my cheek.
It was around noon the following day and Lauren was out with Normani and Ally shopping. That could take all day. I got up from watching the television and made my way into our bedroom and to the dresser that ninety- percent of the surface was covered with Lauren's possessions and pulled open her jewlery box. I started going through her rings and trying to find a size. I smiled once I found that she was a four and shoved the ring into my pocket.
I pulled my phone out and called up Harry. "Hey, what's up?" he asked.
"Are you occupied?"
"No, just debating if I should eat this two day old lomain or not," he said.
"Don't do it. It will be the biggest mistake you ever make," I warned him.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Can you come with me?"
"Sure, where,?" he asked.
"Diamonte's Diamonds," I said. Harry coughed as a response and I thought he was choking for a second before he spoke. "Diamonte's Diamonds? You are away how much their things are, right?"
"Yeah, I've done my research," I said pacing around the living room. "I've got the money."
"So, I'm guessing you're finally going to pop the question?" he asked excitedly. I smirked just thinking that soon I was going to be on one knee asking if my best friend will take my last name and spend the rest of her life with me.
"Yeah.. I guess I am," I grinned.
