"Wake up, Link." Hearing his own name from a familiar voice, Link slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was an outline of a girl, the sunlight blinding her features.

Once his vision cleared, Link knew exactly who it was. Ever since he saw her that night, the girl in his dreams finally came to view. "Zelda..."

Zelda sweetly smiled, grabbing a hold of his hand to pull him up on his feet. "You were asleep for years now. Have you finally come to your senses?"

"What are you talking about? I know I can sleep for a while, but years? That's a bit of an exaggeration."

"I don't mean literally. What I mean is... Have you finally opened your eyes to the dark truth?"

"Dark truth..?" A short memory flashed in his head, Ganondorf's heavy words repeated in his mind. Feeling a sharp pain, Link placed his hand on his head. "That bastard... He lied to me all this time..."

Zelda lowered her eyes. "What will you do now?"

"I... I don't know..." Link didn't know what his purpose in life was anymore. He thought being an assassin was his calling, but it's all been fabricated. How much he wanted to scream right now. He never felt so stupid in his life.

"Don't give up." Grunting in response, Link looked up. The sun in his life. Her aura was blinding, almost godlike. "Even if things seem difficult right now, you mustn't give up."

Link swallowed, his body starting to shake. "What do I have to live for now?! My life as an assassin has been a lie!"

"That boy that travels with you. Do you not think staying alive for him is worth it?" Link was at a loss for words. Neji. If Link chose to take his own life, Neji would be left all alone again. He didn't want to put the kid through that. "And what about redeeming yourself? You have done many wrongdoings, even if it wasn't your own intentions. Do you wish to start over?"

That was easier said than done. But it was possible. If Link chose to redeem himself, the first person he would want to redeem himself to is... "Zelda."

   "What is it?"

Link gave her a smile. "Thank you."

Seeing his genuine smile made her smile back. "You're welcome. I see you have chosen to keep going. The first thing you must do is wake up. Literally this time."

Feeling unsure if he was even talking to the real Zelda or a figure of his imagination, Link nodded in agreement. "Right. I know there's at least a couple people who need me."

A white flash of light appeared before him. Everything was disappearing into thin air. The last thing Link saw was Zelda's smile before she disappeared into thin air as well. In that instant, everything flashed before his eyes.
