Arriving back at Castle Town, the trio were heading towards the direction of the castle. Many people showed their respects for the princess, bowing their heads.

In his own head, Link still couldn't believe that Daruk was willing to give him this small chance. Even if he did accomplish getting the sword back, it would still take a long while for the Gorons to forgive him. He could feel their hatred towards him, understanding why. He would hate the person who killed someone dear to him too. Like Ganondorf.

Having two reasons to kill Ganondorf, Link was ready for that day to come. To avenge the Gorons and their late leader, Darunia. And for personal reasons, to avenge his older sister, Saria. It made his blood boil just thinking about it.

"Link. We're here." Zelda spoke up. Not realizing that they were in front of the castle, Link looked up in awe. It felt a bit awkward that he was coming here and being welcomed. Unlike last time.

Turning to Epona, he wasn't sure where to put her. "Where can I put Epona?"

"I got horses in the back. You can put her there with them."

Before Link could agree, Neji ended up taking the saddle rope from him. "I can take care of Epona. You can go in the castle with Zelda." Watching Neji walk away with Epona, Link just stared at him, seeing him turn towards a corner.

Zelda was also watching Neji walk away with Epona. "He's a good kid."

Link nodded in agreement. "He is when he isn't being a smartass."

Not expecting it, Zelda grabbed him by the hand, leading him inside the castle. "Let's go see Impa to tell her the news."

Looking down, he saw their hands intertwining. It was good thing he was wearing a hood. Link lowered his head to hide his blush, letting Zelda lead him into the castle. This girl never fails to make his heart race.

Inside the castle, Zelda lead him to a room that had golden silk adorned across the walls. The room was spacious, almost empty with nothing but two couches with a table in the middle.

Up ahead, Link saw a familiar woman sitting on one of the couches. Impa. The last time he had seen her, she didn't have any... Noticeable facial features. She looked like she was at the age to retire, which made a lot of sense. Impa was going to officially step down from being Zelda's bodyguard, and he would take her place. But something told him he was about to get a tongue lashing.

Both Link and Zelda sat down on the opposite couch across from Impa. The old woman had her arms crossed, observing him from head to toe. "Tell me how the negotiation went."

Link gulped, intimidated by her stare. "It didn't go too well in the beginning, but I spoke my mind and convinced Daruk to give me a small chance to redeem myself."

"That's a good start. I'm honestly surprised that you were even able to convince him after what you've done."

"Impa..." Zelda sank in her seat. "It isn't entirely Link's fault."
