Chapter 12 - This is New Now

"Good morning, P'Podd. The usual please." Showing his smile to the owner of the café who's behind the counter, busy brewing coffee. Podd looked at him and smiled back.

"Good morning, New. You're early." He leaned forward resting both elbows in the counter. "You gonna drink that here?" He asked.

He roamed around his eyes throughout the café to look for a table. His eyes caught Earth on the very end corner. Alone. Looking at their direction. His eyes didn't even look at him to recognize his existence. He rolled his eyes, even though he's looking at their direction he very much knows who's in the person's mind. He looked back at Podd who's still looking at him. Doesn't even care who's staring at him.

"I'll drink it here. Thanks, P'."

"I'll have it someone serve your coffee." After saying that, he turned his back and started doing his coffee.

New walked directly where P'Earth is. Who's still looking at the counter. The guy is really in his own world. Love hit him hard to not notice.

"P'Earth!" He called his name but didn't even look at him. Eyes in the same direction. He somehow got irritated for not even paying attention to him. He sat next to him and blocked his view. He gains a death look from him. Now that get his attention.

"Oh! New, hello. How are you." Almost monotone. Earth pushed his head towards the table. His hands still in the back of his head when he tried to bring it back up. Now it's his turn to glare at the guy.

New moved his head away, Earth's out of reach.

"For a playboy, you're pathetic." He commented that made Earth look at him. He smirked seeing Earth's reaction.

"For someone who's anti-social, you're quite nosy." Earth strike back.

Earth know things about him. They do become friends in the end. What a bad luck. But this flirtatious guy is safe. He gets to know him through his brother first then the rest he knows is from Earth himself. Especially about knowing Podd. He gained a card to annoy him when Earth is trying to get to his nerve.

"Here's your coffee, New." He looked up to Podd. He personally delivers his coffee.

"Thank you, P'Podd. But why is it that you get to be the one to serve my coffee?" New's eyes squinted teasing the older guy. He takes a sip of the coffee and immediately feels the strong effect it gives him. Okay! He's alive again.

Podd sat to the chair opposite to him. He then saw Earth followed Podd's every move that even he in Podd's position, he'll feel very much uncomfortable.

"I have a proposal." Podd started but didn't get to continue and brows almost together. He sighed already sinking in that someone is staring and that person is beside him.

New elbowed Earth to bring him back from too much staring. He just looked at him innocently as if he's not doing anything wrong. He let out another sigh.

"P', come to my office and let's talk about your proposal. Can I have this to go?" Lifting his coffee a bit. Well, the guy is making the atmosphere unbreathable. He at least needs to save himself from it, too.

He stood up but ended sitting back. Earth grabbed his arms not letting him go.

'What!' New mouthed. Earth just shakes his head not letting him go. This guy is giving him a headache. Such a pain in the ass.

"Then see you this afternoon. Looks like someone wants to talk to you." Podd looked at Earth and moved to his arms which made Earth let him go. He just chuckled by that fact that Podd can make Earth behave even without lifting a finger.
