Chapter 31 - Newwiee

It's been only a few hours and this is me sleep writing. A back-to-back chapter for a day.

Please don't hate me and I love you guy. This chapter skips a lot. Bare with me please.

New woke up feeling sore all over his body. He can't remember what happened but by the looks of it, he looks bad. His right leg has cast and bandage on his head and body. Which hurts a lot.

"Oh my baby you're finally awake. Stay there. I'll call the doctor." His mother frantically said and went out of the room. Which he believes he's in the hospital.

What's weird is that his mother is there. If he remembers it correctly, his parents are on a business trip abroad. He doesn't often see them but he's somehow happy that he gets to see them first upon waking up. They must be very worried.

"How are you son?" His father asks who sided at the chair beside his bed.

"My body hurts so bad that I can't even move, Pa," he honestly told him. "What happened to your business trip?" he asks.

"Business trip?" His father looks confused.

"Yes. Aren't you supposed to be in Singapore?" He said.

"Yes. Of course," his father seemed to finally remember it. "We already came back."

"Oh. I see."

Their attention went by the door when it opens and the doctor and his mother came inside. His father stands up and went beside his mother while the doctor stands beside his bed with a chart in his hand.

"Hello, I'm your assigned doctor. I'm Dr. Gin. How are you feeling right now?" he asks. This doctor doesn't even look like a doctor. He's short and his hair is a mess. His coat is wrinkled and doesn't look good with the visible dark circle below his eyes. New stops himself from judging the doctor and just answer his question. 

"My head hurts like it's being hammered and also my right side," he informed him. He looked at his parents who are now having a conversation but he can't seem to hear what they are talking about.

"Are you having hard time to breath?" he asks next.

"A little bit."

"Okay. Do you remember what happened to you?" he asks and New noticed his parents look at them.

"Must be a car accident?" he said. Unsure. "I'm in my car going home."

"That's right. You are in a car accident. You've been in a coma for 2 weeks. We'll have you to stay here a bit longer until your test says you're good to go," the doctor said with a smile.

He's been asleep for 2 weeks. That's why his parents are already there. The business trip is for a week only. Does that mean his parents have been at the hospital with him? Are they starting to have time for him? If yes then this accident is a good accident.

"Thank you doctor for looking after my son," his father said and offers his right hand which been received immediately by the doctor and shakes.

"It's my duty sir. If you'll excuse me, I still have other patients to visit. Bye."

We said our good bye to the doctor and he exited the room. He noticed that his mother is agitated after talking to his father. Are they perhaps need to go? Now that he's awake and recovering, it's time for them to focus on their business and leave him.
