Chapter 18 - What to do?

New's been feeling down the moment he enters his office. Why is it that there's not a single day he'll get frustrated when he's with Tay? Is he being too expectant on the relationship that they have? He admits that the kind of relationship he knows is all in books. Wanting to have such beautiful memories but reality is not all great memories.

He inhales, the longer the better and releases it.  He needs to snap his mind out of his books. Reality is way far from all the fictions he knew.

"Kin!" New calling his secretary who's table is just outside his office.  The door opens and enters a girl wearing a short dress and 5 inches heels. For someone who's working in a place filled with fine sand, she's definitely something. But he won't judge it. It's up to her. If her clothes are the most comfortable to wear then let it be.

He closed his eyes for a second because the dress is too blinding because of its color.  Neon pink. He can easily find he is the person is lost.

"Your gorgeous secretary at your service." She bows as she's in front of his table. What a way to start a day. She's like a friend already as she helps him from the start.

"Clear my schedule this afternoon." Not looking at her because his eyes might get hurt. He just looks at his table. Eyebrows almost connected as his table is clear with no papers except his computer monitor.

He looks up to his secretary who's smiling widely at him. What is she up to? He crossed his hand in front of his chest waiting for her to explain why his desk is empty.

"Boss, SURPRISE!!!" Shaking both hands as her arms are wide open. Still, he needs an explanation and remained silent. "It's your day off, sir. You finished everything yesterday and today is your free day." She explained.

"How about the delivery?" He asked. He needs to monitor it and check the goods.

"Everything is taken care of. The delivery content is the same as last time, sir." She said and shrugs her shoulder.

"Meetings?"

"None, sir."

"Event confirmations?"

"Done, sir."

"Are you sure? There's really nothing?" He still doubting about having no work at all.

At some point, he realized what he's been doing. He's been too focused on work and work alone. Waking up thinking about work and what's to be done. Going to bed still thinking about work and what'll be done by tomorrow.

He's thankful to Kin as she arranged everything for him to make it all easy.

"Today is a free day it is. And you." He points at Kin. "If I'm on a day off then so as you."

"Yes, sir." She salutes like a soldier accepting his order. "I'll just make a few calls." She says and again bows his head as she exits his office.

Now, what to do? He asked himself as he prepares to leave. Well, there's nothing to prepare because he didn't do anything and just seated to his chair.

New is enjoying his coffee that seems to be cold already. The coffee that Tay prepared this morning. Still in front of him. He prefers hot coffee but he just can't have the guts to throw it away. He drinks it in one shot just to not feel guilty at all.

"WOW!" Earth exclaimed while clapping his hands. They are at Podd café. Where else should we be if Earth is around? Podd is already a place and not a person to the guy. "Take it easy. You can just throw it, you know."

New just glared at him and Earth shrug his shoulder focusing to the guy at the counter. Podd.

"P', Am I expecting too much?" He asks Earth who's still watching Podd.

"Uh huh." He said nodding and not even looking at him.

"Should I just let P'Tay do everything? Can't I also do something?" He continued asking.

"Uh huh." Still nodding.

New knotted his brows on how enthusiast Earth answering his queries.

"I saw P'Podd with a girl this morning."

"What?!" Earth looked shocked. Now his attention is on me. "Who is she? Where is she? Do I know her? What is she? SHe's not a human. She wanted to abduct 'My' Podd? I'm not gonna let that happen!" He's about to stand up but he pulled him back to take his sit. If hitting him will make the guy come back to reality, then he's happy to do so.

"At least I get your attention." He said sarcastically and rolled his eyes.

"So there's no girl?" Earth confirming.

"None. What should I do, P'?" He asked immediately wanting to have an idea. He can't just call Tay and tell him that everything's good and just go with it. He can't do that.

"So whose fault this time?" Earth is now looking at him. But the question is making him fidget.

New is having an argument inside his brain whose fault is it. Is it Tay or him?

"He started it." He complained but then the memory strikes on what Tay really do to make him in a foul mood. Not. More like being frustrated. Unsatisfactory. He feels the warm on his face as it slowly getting hotter especially on his cheeks. SHIT! He cupped his face with his own hands and bow his head to hide it.

"I see." Earth seems to finally understand what's going on with him.

"Can you give me an idea, P'." Still not looking at him.

"Why are you asking me? You know him better than I do." Earth does have a point. He knows Tay longer. "OH!" Earth snapped his finger upon having an idea coming in.

New leaned forward to hear the idea that Earth just thought of. Seconds turn to minutes. He's not saying anything.

"P'!" Getting his attention and still waiting.

"Log cabin."

Log cabin. He repeats in his mind. The place where aside from his hotel room, the log cabin is a perfect place for hideout. You can only go there by foot as there's no road because it's inside the forest that is part of the resort. He made sure the road use are blocked. His parents know about it as part of his condition designing the hotel. And Earth gets to know it, too. Other than them. No one else knows. Well, he guesses the builders of the log cabin still knows about it.

"You want us to hike?" Confirming his theory on Earth.

"You want to hike." He corrects him.

"Oh~" He gets it. It's not that bad to ask for advice to Earth. He can give a good one once in a while. At first, he's hesitant but if he wants to do something special to Tay other than whining and sulking all the time then he's up to it. The log cabin it is.

"Thanks, P'!" He stands up ready to leave.

"Anytime." He heard him as he walks out of the café.

He's relieved that Tay is no longer in his room. Maybe he went back to his own room. He roams his eyes scanning but everything is normal. No more plates from this mornings breakfast. He quickly prepares everything for the rest of the day. Good thing tomorrow's weekend that they can spend the night there.

He stops as again feels the warmth on his face. What is he expecting as they spend time together? Can't they just cuddle like last night? He shakes his head too quickly that made him dizzy. At least the idea is already out of his head. Just spend the night together. If something will happen other than he planned, he doesn't care. Their relationship will be one of a kind.

I'm late. I know. This is the longest gap between chapters. I've been too busy and not getting enough sleep but I've decided to at least spend a day for TAYNEW only. But ends up sleeping all day to catch up and rest. I'm missing TAYNEW in my life already...
