10 years later

Rachel POV
"Babe we are late. Then you guys like to say females take long to get ready"

He came down the stairs hyperventilating. "Give me two minutes" then ran back up.

"Dada said not to tell you he can't find his keys" Our five year old came down the stair yelling so Damien could hear.

"Samuel you traitor" Damian yelled from upstairs.

Samuel ran up to me and jumped into my arms as his father ran back down the stairs. Samuel and I laughed at him.

My phone vibrated in my pocket so I took it out along with the keys and happily threw at Damien before reading my message.

Ricky: where are you

Me: we are leaving now. Be there in half an hour.

Ricky: you said you would help set up even mom is here before you

Me: we are on our way

"Alright let's go. I think Ricky is going mad right about now" I said turning to go through the door.

Damien ran forward to open the door for me. So sweet of him.

"No you mean his wife is going mad which is making him feel like he's going mad. I know the feeling" he responded.

I slapped him up top his head as I walked through the door.

With Damien's driving, we arrived in 20 minutes. We were greeted by my father who arrives at the same time as us.

The decor was fantastic, Ricky's wife Brianna whom he met at college did a wonderful job.

This was Ricky's second marriage. The first wife was Sarah whom he also met at college they were married for two years before she got pregnant from a fella she worked with. One year later he got married to Brianna and a year and a half later here we are.

They only had about 20 or fewer people on the list for this party I wasn't sure what it was all about but only very close relatives and friend of theirs were invited.

"Good afternoon" Brianna took the stage when everyone arrived.

"Let's get to the reason behind this party. Some of you may or may not know I can't have any kids of my own" she paused.

Before they got married I remember Ricky coming to Damien and I wanting to know if to marry her even though they wouldn't be able to have kids of their own. He loved her so he chose to say I do rather than I don't.

"At the beginning of this year, Ricky and I considered adopting. We didn't tell anyone because we weren't sure if we'd find that child that would make our hearts skip a beat. However, we actually found 2 children and the adoption came through yesterday. We have you all here today to meet Rebecca and Christian. Rebecca is 5 years old while Christian is 8"

"Oh no," my mom yelled making everyone stare at her.

"I came empty handed do you know how many clothes I could have brought with me for them," she said taking out her phone.

Most people congratulated them while others were on their phones ordering toys and books and clothes.

I was speechless, Ricky saw my facial expression and came to me.

"Sis"

"Babe" Damien snapper his fingers in front of my face.

I just couldn't move.

"I think you broke her" Damien said shaking Ricky's hand.

"Why is mama crying" I heard Samuel ask, I didn't realize I was crying until he said that.

"You adopted 2 children not even one?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"I think I saw a toys store on the way here or maybe a pet, are they allergic to any animals, I am a veterinarian discount for family. Or maybe books what do they like to read or maybe Xbox, iPad, iPhone, skateboard..."

"I take this as you're excited" He interrupted me

"I'm so happy for you guys" I hugged him then ran up to Brianna and hugged her, she attempted wiping my tears but more tears came down.

Believe it or not, I left the party to find the closest toy store. I bought too many toys but it was ok, I'm allowed to spoil them.

After the party, Samuel asked to go with my mom to Mulan for 2 days. I couldn't say no to that cute face of his so I told him he could go.

My mom and dad were going strong up to this day and everything was great.

Scott was released about 2 years ago but was arrested again 8 months later for drug charges.

I was married to the love of my life whom is the father to the next love of my life and I couldn't ask for a better life.
