-The rain outside completely ruined mine and Vic's plan to go on a picnic with the family so with the dark clouds making our house that creepy vibes itself, we decided to watch horror movies.
Even mama and papa were here and Mike even. It was getting colder so I snuggled onto Vic closer. He knew that I was so cold so he protected me with his arms wrapped around my waist and his warm body.
This might sound cliche, but right after the lightning outside appeared making flash in our house, followed by its big bomb-like sounds, the jump scares scene in the movie laced along, making me jumped and Vic laughed.
I glared at him and all of them laughed too. Then, they all focused on the T.V. when the front door knocked and I decided to opened it which was probably not a good idea. Because every time a person opens a door when it rains in horror movie, and especially house mansion-like like Vic's, they usually got stab or worse. Like what I was seeing at that moment.
There, stood horrifyingly, Maria herself covered in water and was soaked. I wanted to just slam the door to her face after recalling back how she fucking betrayed me and be the unexpected traitor. I wanted to shout to her for being here after all the words of hate she spat to me. I even wanted to ask her why was she still alive and was not in jail. But I didn't.
I found something on her. She was sad. Feeling guilty was covered on all over her face. I didn't notice this but she was crying. Fortunately the rain covered her face making it impossible to see whether it was her tear or the rain. What made it obvious was the bloodshot eyes of her. Little did I know that this little action of her was all a lie.
I back away from the door, running back to the living room with fear written all over my face. I was traumatised. After all she had said, I couldn't just forget it. She was trying to kill me. Her own best friend.
Vic walked towards me while trying to peek on the front door. “Baby who is it?” he asked curiously. I pointed at the direction he was looking at,“I-it's M-Ma..” I trailed off. He looked at me again then I broke down in tears. He ran to the front door and I could hear a muffle scream and then all I saw was dots and dots and I passed out.
-
I woke up to me lying on Vic's bed. I looked around and there was nobody in there. I went downstairs and I saw Vic sitting down chatting with mama and papa. “Wendy you're awake!” Vic sequel running to me and hugged me tightly.
“I'm not trying to be rude but you're weak, Wendy. In a funny way I mean. Every time something unexpected comes you'll collapse.” he laughed a little but that died when he saw no reaction given from me. “Baby? Are you okey?” he asked me, frowning. I looked at him and my eyes began to watery. “Where is she?”
Vic stayed silence for a while looking at mama and papa. “We don't think she should be here just now. So we convinced her to come into the house to talk while waiting for you. We called the cops without her knowing and she's probably in jail now.” Vic explained. Mama nodded looking at Vic,“Yes, Wendy. We're sorry we didn't give her chance to talk to you because she shouldn't be here and I don't think it's safe to be around her at the moment.” she said. I nodded and hugged Vic who was still standing next to me.
“I'm scared. What if she comes back after she come out from jail? What was her motive to come here while the heavy rain soaked her? Like I wouldn't come all the way down to here while raining, Vic.” I said. Questions after questions came into my mind. Vic comforted me with a kiss on the forehead and rubbed my head. “Shh.. Don't think too much about it, dear. She's crazy. I'll always be by your side protecting you. And even mama and papa will and the rest of the family.” Vic whispered softly which came out as a music to me.
I didn't know why this thought came across my mind and caught me so bad but I needed to tell somebody or this might not happen. “I want to meet my dad.” I said. There was a thick silence flying around us until Vic decided to look at me in the eye.
“You really wanna go and see him?” he asked me. “Y-yes. W-why? Can't I?” I stuttered. Vic had this long thoughts face for quite a while until he looked at me and smiled. “Of course we can, Wendy. He also told me to visit whenever you're free and want to,” he said. I smiled sadly and buried my head on his chest.
-
“Vic?” those name came out as a mumbled. I was falling asleep on the bed with Vic cuddling with me, but I couldn't. I couldn't with this thoughts trashing in my mind. Vic hummed in response and I pulled his chin lightly so he was looking down at me. I kissed him and he smiled against it.
“What's wrong baby?” he said, pulling away from the kiss. I blushed at the pet name he used for me and then looked at him dead in the eyes. “I'm scared.” I said, looking down while drawing circles on his chest. Vic frowned. He knew I was talking about what had happened this afternoon. I was scared of Maria. Even though she was in jail now but after she showed up again on the door, flashbacks after flashbacks came. The way she shot Vic, the way she screamed to me. It was scary and hunting me.
“Wendy, baby. You don't have to be scared. I'm here. In fact there's no one with Maria anymore. She's by herself now. And you, we got your back.” Vic said, grinning proudly. I smiled at him and nodded slowly burying my head again on the crook of his neck.
I slowly fell asleep at the sound of Vic's heartbeat. Forgetting all of the problems and such. Hoping it would just go away. Out from my mind.

Vic's p.o.v
That night after Maria came, I didn't fell asleep. I couldn't. I was making sure Wendy had fallen asleep first before me. So that she wouldn't be alone and think too much.
In the morning, I woke up to her hair all over my face. I removed it all away lightly with my hand and from her face too. Revealing her anglic innocent face.
I brushed her cheeks with my thumb making her stirred. She opened her eyes slowly, adjusting her vision to the light that came from the window that its curtain was pulled up probably by the maids. She looked at me and smiled. She put her hands on my neck and pulled my face closer to her and kissed me. I smiled and kissed back. “Morning, baby girl.” I said making her giggled.
“Morning, Vic.” she responded with her cute morning voice. I hugged her tightly making her groaned,“Vic stooopp,” she whined. I looked at her and scanned her face, making her blushed. I laughed and hugged her again. “How can I stop when you're being too cute?” I said. She giggled and pushed my body away from her, getting up and running to the bathroom.
Before I could reach it she slammed it to my face and a click heard meaning she had locked it. “Wendy, I want to go to the shower too!” I whined,“We're going to your father's in like an hour we don't have time to take turn.” I continued, grinning. She knew I was just teasing so she made a fart noise. “Stop it, pervy! There are like thousands bathroom in the house you could've gone to one of them,” she said with the 'duh' tone. “Yeah but none of them that have you in it.” I replied, smirking. She groaned and opened the door, enough to made me saw only her face. “Stop being silly! Just go to shower already! And stop peeking, dumbass!” she shouted to my face and slammed shut the door again.
“Fine, baby girl.”
