Yes, and it is 7days actually. Jubilee gardens and resort have a resort on the mountain besides we need to relieve ourselves of stress, it's new and I thought it would be nice for us to be the first patrons right Victoria?" Esther retorted

I was absent minded, thinking of what I had seen on Charles' phone. One of them was having an affair with my husband and I did not know who. The message clearly said that. How could my friends betray me like this?

I snapped back into reality at the sound of Nasa's voice.

"where your mind come dey na?" Esther questioned while chewing groundnutcake popularly known as kwuli kwuli.

The groundnut cake looked so delicious but ever since Charles told me he saw one woman molding the cake with her thighs, I refrained from eating any.

Anyways my son Aaron told me that I only have a week to stay there.I intended staying some more as I'm on leave. You should have seen his face when I told him that I'll be leaving for a week.

Everyone laughed including me, Esther's husband prepares beautifully made poison whenever he finds himself in the kitchen.

He manages to add too much salt in whatever he prepares. I could remember the first time I ate an egg sauce he spent hours making. Only to almost finish a gallon of water. I bet salt could be squeezed out of my body that day.

You should have just hired a cook for the mean time" Grace replied

"Hire a cook for a week, when her husband is not handicapped. He should manage the kitchen for a week, it's not easy to a be wife and a mother, let him have a taste of it" Nasa said as she dug her hands into the nylon that Esther put the groudnut cake in.

The wives revolt! You all know my husband will gladly cook. I'm only concerned about the quantity of salt that'll be in my son's body by the time we get back

Victoria why are you so quiet? We've all been smacking our lips together, and you've just been the listener. I don't know but I think you're just off. Atleast eat this kwuli kwuli and move your mouth even if you're not going to say anything "

I finally took one cake from Esther and threw it into my mouth trying so hard not to picture the wrong baking process.

" I'm OK I'm just tired honestly " I replied

Why won't you be tired, When Charles collected in a day everything he'll be missing in a week" nasa replied winking at me

I laughed so hard at that, if only they knew that Charles and I kept slept several inches apart.

The ladies finally diverted into talking about movies, while I played candy crush with my phone.
Grace was the one driving us and she spoke randomly, while Esther and Nasa made sure to keep the vehicle noisy.

They talked about series that they watched on Telemundo and zee world. While Esther was a huge fan of the Mexicans, Nasa was a die hard Indian fan. They were arguing about which country had more beautiful women.
But of course it was their husbands that I pitied. I barely watched the Indian movies and most people found their series addictive. I was very sure that their husband's were not the movie type because of how many times they've told me.

Next scene

"How could you do this to me? And you still have the guts to tell me you love my husband!

I was in a dark room till I heard my daughter calling.

Christy hugged me so tight as she spoke. I noticed that she was in her uniform and that she looked like she had been crying.

What really happened to me?

" Baby, why are we here? Shouldn't you be at school "

I asked as I recognized that we were in a hospital.

They called dad and told him you passed out. The driver was supposed to pick you from work after he got me from school. But when we got there we saw them carrying out from the office. I was so scared, I thought something bad had happened to you. We followed behind and we have been here since then. Dad is in the hospital too but he stepped out to get me snacks."

How do you feel mom?"

I was tired but I felt okay.

"I'm good baby"

I barely answered my daughter before Charles walked in with the doctor.

I didn't know why but I felt so scared, hospitals gave more bad news than good. Was I suffering from any disease?

Mrs Chinedu it's good to see you awake. When we you brought in, you weren't conscious and we decided to run tests on you.

We suspected it to be something good, before your husband mentioned the traumatic experience you had encountered.

He told us that you never had incidents of this sort happen often and we were pushed to run several tests on you.

One of the results came in now and I think that settles the matter. We found high amounts of HCG in your blood ma.
