The pair stormed into the tallest skyscraper in the area, Weiss walking right up to the receptionist.
"I have an appointment with Mr Schnee." She said firmly in the cold tone that left ice on the back of necks.
The woman looked down at her computer. "Umm, y-yes, Weiss Schnee for the 3 o'clock. I'll tell him you'll be right up."
"Don't bother."
The businesswoman turned and made her way to the executive elevator, typing in the access code and stepping in.
"This looks expensive..." Yang muttered sarcastically.
Weiss sighed. "Yeah, you could by Ruby's apartment three times over with how much this elevator costs."
"Damn..."
When the doors opened a few moments later, Weiss stormed forward, making her way down the hall and towards an office door.
The secretary out front stood up, trying to stand in the way. "Ma'am, please stop for a moment, Mr Schnee is on the phone an~"
The ivory haired woman narrowed her eyes, shooing daggers to the girl. "If you don't move out of the way, I will make your life Hell."
The secretary stepped back, Weiss pushing the door open to see her father sitting at the desk, feet propped up on what looked to be a custom made pillow.
He narrowed his eyes when he saw her, quietly telling whoever was on the phone that he would call them back. "You didn't even knock. I didn't raise you to be so disrespectful."
"You didn't raise me at all, father." The woman stated calmly. "You hired people to do that."
"Obviously they didn't do their jobs." He growled. "What did you want? Here to beg for your job back?"
"Actually no." Weiss replied. "I'd like to ask why I've been blacklisted."
Mr Schnee narrowed his eyes. "Why do you think?"
"You don't like not having control. You don't like it when people say no to you. You'd rather let your company crash than allow your daughter to be happy." Weiss glared slightly at her father, the room temperature practically dropping. "And since she won't work for you, she won't work for anyone."
The man stood up, slamming his fists down into the desk. "I'm not the bad guy here!"
Yang took a step forward, Weiss stopping her. "Oh, please do explain." She offered, raising a brow.
"I can't let you drag down my company with you~!"
"YOU STARTED TEARING IT DOWN THE MOMENT YOU TOOK OVER!!" The ivory haired woman snapped. "This company only started being repaired after you gave me ALL THE WORK! I made this company! I gave my life to this business! I kept things together!"
The room was deathly silent.
"And if you can't see that, then fine. I'll stay away, you'll never need to see me again." Weiss whispered. "But don't you dare try and sabotage my life. Don't you dare go and stop me from moving on. Because if I'll find a way to hurt you much more than that."
Weiss' father glared, his face red with rage.
"Leave."
The woman turned around and walked away, calmly guiding the stunned Yang from out of the room.
The moment that the pair was out and in the elevator, Weiss fell against the wall, breathing heavily and freaking out.
Yang didn't waste a second in going to her. "Are you ok?"
"I-I've never opened up like that... Never yelled at him before..." She huffed, trying to control her breathing. "I-it's a lot to take for me... Holy fuck..."
"I don't know if I've ever heard you swear like that." The blonde commented with a smirk.
"Shut up..." Weiss muttered. "I need to see Ruby..."
Yang gently placed her hand on the woman's back in comfort. "Yeah, we can do that, just take a second to chill out."
"Right... Right..." A moment passed and she let out a deep breath. "I'm ok."
"So are you going to tell Ruby about all of this?" The blonde asked, impatiently waiting for an answer.
Weiss rolled her eyes. "You should realize by now that I don't like getting her involved in this. It would only upset her and she wouldn't be able to do anything about it."
The tall woman grumbled a little before finally responding. "Yeah, whatever... I guess I understand your point of view here, but that doesn't mean I agree."
The elevator door opened, Weiss stepping out and looking over her shoulder. "You don't have to agree. You just need to give me the chance to protect Ruby."
With a turn of her head, The ivory haired woman walked off, her heels clicking against the marble floors and drawing eyes from all around.
Yang looked from one person to the next as she followed, only slightly terrifying the weaker hearts in the room with her glares.
Both of them walked out, making their way just a little down the street to The Cookies Cafe to see a little girl in red. Weiss opened the door, bell ringing overhead, and quickly realized that something was happening here.
The reporter that was talking to Ruby turned as soon as the bell rang, her eyes practically exploding in excitement.
"FINALLY!! It's fantastic to meet you, Miss Schnee!"
