"That was fantastic!" Ruby laughed, practically falling over as she walked away from the theater, reaching the end of their third official date.

Neon choked on her own laughter. "And when the werwolf refused to bite her because she smelled weird? That was the best!"

The two girls continued walking until they finally calmed down, straightening up and moving till they were walking side by side.

Ruby looked down at Neon's hand, swaying as she stepped forward. A simple movement, a reach, and they were hand in hand.

The ginger looked up and smiled over at Ruby. "So, would you say this was a good date for me to take my girlfriend?" She questioned.

The brunette smirked, rolling her eyes before she leaned in to kiss Neon's cheek. "It's a start. But you know, I could use someone to help me back in my apartment."

"Oh yeah? Moving your furniture around a bit?" Neon questioned, playing along with the girl.

"Just the bed." Ruby whispered into the ginger's ear. "Help me rock it."

Neon's eyes shot open, a massive smile on her face as she lifted Ruby off the ground, both of them giggling through the streets. Neon turned a corner and kept running towards her girlfriend's place until she was pushed off to the side.

"Get out of my way, dike!" The man growled, rage coming off of him.

The tall, brown haired man was wearing a suit, the tie messed up and his jacket wrinkled. Ruby stood up from the ground, helping Neon to her feet as she watched the man cautiously.

"You're... You're Mayor Winchester, aren't you?" She asked, realizing a moment later the problem. "Umm, sorry, Mr Winchester."

The man narrowed his eyes, shooting daggers toward the girl. "You can shut your fucking trap, you slut." He growled, the alcohol on his breath obvious.

"Don't call her that, you bitch." Neon hissed.

Mr Winchester rolled his eyes and sneered down at both the girls. "You're both just a couple of pieces of meat that don't have the right to talk to me like~"

Ruby punched the man once in the face and he stood awkwardly before falling to the ground unconscious. The brunette cracked her knuckles, shaking her hand out after the hit.

"Holy shit, that was awesome..." Neon stated quietly, stepping forward and nudging the man with her foot. "Remind me never to piss you off."

"Well, I think I did something wrong." Ruby nervously chuckled. "He was only supposed to be stunned, not... Well, that."

The ginger giggled as she wrapped an arm around her girlfriend. "Don't you worry, I don't mind your violent tendencies. In fact, I think it kinda turns me on."

"Neptune, I think you've had enough to drink." Yang remarked, reaching for his glass before he grabbed her wrist.

"Don't even think about it." He muttered. "I need this. Weiss is making my job a living Hell."

"Yeah, she's a bitch, that's kinda what she does." The blonde told him.

Neptune shook his head. "You don't get it! Do you understand what my job is? Do you? My JOB is to keep her ALIVE and functioning on a human level!"

"What's so hard about that?"

"She is working us both to death!!!" He complained. "It was a struggle when she was antisocial and working but enjoying it, but now she's a zombie that doesn't care about herself enough to actually try!"

Yang narrowed her eyes in confusion. "I don't get it. What's got her so messed up?"

"Ruby!" Neptune shouted, drawing eyes to the pair at the bar. "She doesn't know how to be happy without Ruby and she's hurting herself because of it."

"Reminder: She broke up with Ruby." The woman snapped. "She hurt my sister until the poor girl wouldn't even eat. She doesn't have the right to be upset."

"She's not just upset, Yang, she NEEDS Ruby." The bluenette whined. "I need her to have Ruby so that my job is easier!"

"That's too bad, because she's taken." The blonde explained. "She's happy now and Weiss isn't gonna ruin that."

"That's the problem! Weiss doesn't want to ruin it!!!"

The pair were both quiet for a moment, as Yang tried to process the information she was given.

"So..." The woman pinched the bridge of her nose. "She doesn't want Ruby."

"She wants Ruby more than anything." Neptune clarified. "She just refuses to let herself go back and ruin the happiness that she's been able to collect for herself."

He took a deep breath and threw back his drink before he kept going.

"She wants Ruby to be happy, even if she's not."
