"Weiss!! Weiss, you've gotta listen to me!!!"
"Ruby..?" The woman whispered, frozen to the spot. "W-What are you doing here..?"
The brunette struggled against the security guards, fighting every step of the way as they dragged her out of the room. "I'm here because I love you!"
Weiss blinked, feeling the tears forming as she listened to the girl's words.
"I love you and I can't just pretend that I don't need you in my life!" She called, breaking free of the guards grip for just long enough to make it a few feet before another grabbed her. "I need the smartest, most beautiful, caring, wonderful woman in the world!"
The woman in white closed her eyes, feeling her body stiffen and shake.
"Remove her from the premises!" Mr Schnee growled. "She's ruining a sacred ceremony!"
"Weiss!!! Don't marry him, please!!"
The guards were closing the doors, dragging Ruby out of the building as she called out to the one person she needed beyond all else.
"I love you, Weiss!!! Please, just know that I~" The doors slammed shut, cutting her off mid sentence.
Mr Schnee turned towards the minister. "I am so sorry. Please continue."
The older man nodded before facing Carden and Weiss again. "As we were. Do you, Weiss Schnee, promise to love and protect Carden with your life and your heart? In life and death, in good times and bad, and in sickness and health, do you promise to always stand by his side?"
The woman was frozen, hesitant and conflicted. "I..."
"It's ok to be nervous Weiss." Her father whispered with a sinister undertone. "Just say the words."
She blinked, the events of the past few moments finally catching up to her. "I... I-I can't..."
The guards forced the young brunette off the property, threatening to call the cops if she tried anything again. Ruby glared at them both with a fire she hadn't had in weeks.
"I'll never stop trying." She said firmly as she stood. "And you couldn't stop me if you tried."
"Actually kid, we could stop you." One of them stated with a deadpan expression. "Don't make us prove it."
She spat at the sidewalk in front of them before leaving and planning out her next move, walking back towards her apartment.
"I'll get her back..." Ruby whispered in front of her door. "I'll get her back."
She opened the door to see Yang, Nora, Ren, and Jaune with their eyes locked on the TV until Yang noticed her walk in.
"Ruby! Get over and check this out." She called encouraging her sister to sit down and watch.
She made her way over and saw the news reporter Live At The Scene giving a brief description of the events that occurred.
"We here at Channel 6 have never seen quite a complex and deranged wedding as the one we have today, folks." The reporter calmly explained. "Today was supposed to be a celebration of love and marriage between Weiss Schnee of Schnee Industries fame and Carden Winchester, who recently lost his place as mayor of Vale."
"It was speculated that the marriage was a political move due to the rumors and speculation over Weiss Schnee's sexuality, as well as the short notice of any information about the marriage, but until today nothing could be confirmed." The woman on screen continued. "Today, the wedding was interrupted by who we assume to be Ruby Rose, the rumored lover of Miss Schnee earlier this year."
"Oh no..." Ruby groaned. "I'm sure this'll be wonderful..."
"She stormed in right before the 'I do's were exchanged, quickly followed by security. She continued to proclaim her love to Miss Schnee in what some witnesses referred to as 'heartbreakingly honest'." She described. "After which, she was removed and it is unsure of her current whereabouts."
"Wonderful, I'm on the news..."
"Miss Schnee left the ceremony soon after, her father attempting to help her calm down as he followed her out." The reporter added, Ruby's ears perking up at that. "One eye witness, a close friend of Weiss Schnee, claims to know a bit more of the background to the event. Could you please tell us what happened Mr Ozpin."
The almost regal man stepped into camera view, a soft smile on his lips as he thanked the woman. He turned towards the screen and let out a breath as he spoke.
"I have known Weiss since she was just a little girl, she's practically family to me and I love her like she was one of my own." He began. "Her father on the other hand was more focused on his image, firing her for her relationship with Miss Rose."
"That's terrible." The reporter commented, a frown on his face.
"Oh, I wish that was the worst of it." He laughed without humor. "Mr Schnee, Jacques, has always been a very petty man. Anything he could not control was something he didn't want around. And he saw his younger daughter as one of those things."
The woman on screen waited with anticipation as Ozpin organized his mind.
"I don't have every detail of what happened, but I am aware that Miss Schnee was threatened by her father to come back and was forced to end her relationship with Miss Rose." He sighed, a disappointment look of distain on his face. "It is a tragic series of events, and I certainly hope that that poor woman may find her happiness soon."
The entire room was silent as the camera panned to focus on the reporter.
The woman, just as in shock as everyone else, had to take a second to recover before she continued. "Umm, well... It seems like there were a lot of secrets hiding just behind the corner. Be sure check back in with Channel 6 as we bring more of this information to light."
Commercials cut onto the screen, Yang turning them down until it was all background noise. Everyone in the room stood in silence, waiting for anything to push forward again. A knock at the door caught their attention and Ruby made her way over.
As she opened the door, a feeling between relief and fear, between love and sadness, comfort and pain. A feeling of loss and redemption fell over the brunette, her hair growing now past her shoulders.
Weiss stood in the hall, her breath stopped and eyes locked with Ruby's as they both stood in wait.
