The Unexpected Loss (a RWBY fanfiction)

"We here at Channel 6 are happy to say that even the most tragic tales have a shot at a happy ending." The reporter explained with a smile. "We are here reporting on the scene of the wedding of Weiss Schnee and Ruby Rose."

"The pair have been through a lot, especially with the problems from Schnee Industries and Mr Carden Winchester. But here they are celebrating love as it really should~"

The TV was turned off, cutting of the news recording from the day before and leaving the boardroom in silence as nobody dared to speak.

"I want someone on that." Mr Schnee quietly demanded. "I want someone to deal with that."

The board members looked from one to the next until one of them finally stood up with a determined expression.

"Sir... No."

Jacques whipped his head towards everyone, glaring through each person one by one until his eyes landed on the man that spoke out.

"No? I'm not sure you understand who's in charge here." He hissed.

The man shook his head. "No, I don't think you understand who's in charge." He replied firmly. "You no longer have majority shares."

"What the Hell are you talking about?!"

The door opened, Weiss walking in followed closely by Ruby and Mr Ozpin.

"He's talking about me, father." She, stepping forward and making her way around the table. "I did exactly what you told me to do. I got Ozcorps back."

Ozpin smiled as he took a seat at the board table. "You no longer have the majority of the company because I bought every open stock."

Mr Schnee was livid, furiously turning from one of them to another until his eyes fell on Ruby. "You did this!!"

The girl's eyes widened. "I'm only here for emotional suppo~"

"YOU DID THIS!!!" He screamed, stepping towards her but being sent back by a cane to the chest.

Ozpin stood up again, readjusting his cane to keep himself standing. "I'd suggest you be very careful about your next moves, Jacques."

He looked around The whole room, not a single person on his side anymore. The man turned back to his daughter, a look of disgust in his eyes.

"You'd choose that whore over your own family?!" He growled. "She's just another piece of garbage that isn't good enough for you!!!"

"That whore is my wife." Weiss replied simply, calmly. "And if you speak poorly of her again, I will be getting involved."

Her father was practically foaming at the mouth when he stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Ozpin smiled as he turned back towards the board members. "Well, now that I'm in charge I think I'll be leaving. Have a wonderful day everyone." He said before walking out.

Weiss took Ruby's hand gently within her own, turning to her as the board members began to pick up all their stuff. "Do you want to go on our honeymoon? I've got a fake ID that works all throughout Europe."

Ruby giggled, kissing her wife once before nodding quietly. "Let's go have some fun."
