you felt that tingle in your stomach when he touched your hand, when he would kiss you.

your in the prison world and have been for a couple of months, in those couple months you've been having this feeling when you talked to kai or when he would get near you.

"y/n can we talk?" you looked up from the book you were reading, sitting up in your bed "yeah what's up?"

"so i don't know how to say this but uh" he scratched the back of his neck nervous "i like you a lot y/n" he looked down fumbling with his fingers.

you had the biggest smile on your face " i get it if you don't -" you cut him off by jumping on him wrapping your arms around his neck.

"i really like you too kai" you pulled away smiling "well in that case will you be my girlfriend?" "of course." you said smiling.

every step you took while jogging you had what you thought was deja vou. it has been a couple weeks since the guy came up to you thinking you were his girlfriend.

"please don't walk out on me i have no one" kai pleaded "you don't even trust me kai, he was a friend and you beat him."

you were about to open the front door when kai yelled out something unexpected "i love you."

you turned around "i love you okay that's why i'm so protective over you, because i know i'm not good enough and i feel like you're  going to leave me for someone better."

you put your hand on his cheek "i would never leave you kai not for anyone. i love you so much" he smiled "you love me?" you chuckled "yes dummy of course i love you."

you stopped jogging "i remember. I REMEMBER." you yelled the last part earning glances from some people.

you ran to the salvatore house, you banged on the door over and over again "hello pretty lady" you pushed his chest "move damon" you ran to the extra room they had in the house.

you swung the door open to see kai sitting at a desk, he didn't budge he just mumbled a few words.

"kai?" he turned around and his eyes wide once he saw you, you ran to him smashing your lips on his "i remember!" "why did you forget?"

you felt guilty remembering that you told stefan to compel you to forget. "your going to hate me" "i won't i promise just tell me." you sighed and looked at your feet.

"i-i told stefan to compel me to forget about you, i couldn't handle the pain. i couldn't handle you dying. i couldn't handle knowing that i live and you don't. i couldn't handle the fact that at night i'd be sleeping by myself and not having you next to me. and the fact that i didn't even say i love you before we left because we got in that fight-" you tried to go on but you just cried and couldn't get anything out.

"hey princess it's okay i'm here now" he pulled you in a hug cradling you while kissing the top of your head.
