you slammed the door not forgetting to lock it. you ran to your bathroom closing the door. you sat in your tub crying your eyes out, you never thought the people closest to you would be the ones to hurt you the most.

you thought elena would understand since she's dating damon of all people.

you didn't think there wasn't anything to live for since kai was in the prison world. you knew there was no way to get him out, bonnie would never help you neither would damon or stefan.

you grabbed your razor that was in your shower, "don't do this y/n please" you heard kai's voice in your head. you continued to make two big cuts on your wrists.

"y/n open the door we need to talk" you heard damon say.

"y/n i smell blood are you okay?" your eyes began to fall heavy "y/n you have to stay awake for me baby please" kai's voice said again in your head.

damon started banging on the before he broke in your room, he ran to the bathroom to open the door but it was locked. "damon what the hell are you doing?" elena yelled annoyed "trying to get this damn door open that's what"

"why what happened?" "i smell blood elena that's what"

damon got the door open "oh my god y/n" elena ran to your side "do something damon please" damon bit his wrist trying to make you drink the blood. "dammit y/n drink it" "baby you have to drink it to stay alive, i need you fuck i need you. i'm going to find a way out" you heard kai's voice again.

a few weeks later

you say up in bed tracing the cuts on your wrist, kai was still on your mind and hasn't left. you got dressed and walked downstairs "goodmorning y/n" elena said all chipper.

you ignored her like you have been for weeks, "your still gonna ignore me? come on y/n it's been weeks" you grabbed in apple and began to walk out when elena grabbed your arm "talk to me" "you want me to talk to you fine. get your fucking arm off of me! don't touch me, don't look at me and finally don't fucking talk to me i'm done with your fucking bullshit elena."

you walked around the parking sitting on a bench playing with your thumbs. you felt someone's eyes on you but when you looked around you couldn't see anyone.

that's when you saw him "kai?" you ran to where he was for him to just be gone, you looked around but didn't find him.

it was getting late so you decided to walk back home, once you got home you ran to your room and shut the door. you noticed a not on your bed

you thought it had to be some type of joke that damon or elena was playing.

"is this some sick joke!" you yelled walking out of your room holding the paper up.

"no its not. i do love you" you could recognize that voice anywhere "kai" you turned around running into his arms.

he wrapped his arms around you placing his lips on yours, you pull away "no this can't be. you're not real" you pushed away backing up.

"no baby i'm real i'm as real as they come" he grabbed your wrist, but you pulled away not wanting him to see. he grabbed them and his face fell, "why?" he pulled you close has you cried.

"i didn't have anyone, everyone betrayed me they hurt me and you were gone." he hugged you tighter "i'm here now and please don't ever do that again."

kai wipes your eyes with his thumb and kissed you again "i missed that" he chuckled making you laugh. "how did you get out? when did you get out just now?"

he scratched the back back of his head "i uh got out about two weeks ago" "two weeks ago? and your now just showing up?"

"your better off without me y/n. i mean elena and bonni we're right i'm no good for you, you're better off without me."

you pushed him because you were so angry "bullshit kai bull fucking shit"

"do you know what kind of shit i've been through since you were gone?"

"y/n-" "no kai don't y/n me. i've been through fucking hell. do you not like me? is that why you didn't tell me you were back?"

"no y/n i love you so so much" "then let's go go. let's run away together."

"go where?" "i have no clue but anywhere but here i cant always have elena up my ass"

"i'm in we can go anywhere you'd like" he kissed you "y/n we are home" elena screamed.

you grabbed a backpack and began packing. once you were finished you grabbed kai's hand and rushed downstairs to the front door.

"where are you going?" elena asked from the other room "anywhere but here"

damon and elena walked into the room once damon saw kai, kai smirked and damon vamp sped to kai choking him.

"get the fuck off of him damon" you screamed pulling damon off of kai. "how the hell did you escape?" damon asked angrily.

"i have my ways" you grabbed kai's hand turning around to open the door but elena grabbed your arm "you're not leaving y/n" you ripped her hand off your arm before screaming at her.

"fucking watch me" you and kai walked out the door not knowing where you were going.
