you thought you both were doing great, you thought he loved you. you laid in bed crying all week long, alaric would bring you food but you barely ever ate.

you don't know why your taking this break up so hard you loved dylan but you loved kai more. it was the thought of losing another person, you dated dylan to get over kai but in the process you started to feel stuff for dylan.

"hello" you say into your phone "y/n it's elena i was calling to make sure your okay?" it confused you because you told no one about your break up and dylan didn't know your friends that well to go off and tell them. "what do you mean" you try your best to not sound like you've been crying.

"well kai told me that your and dylan broke up" you were beyond mad now you know it was kai that broke you up "what do you mean kai told you" "well i was with damon sitting on the couch and kai walks in with the biggest smile saying y/n and dylan broke up. i thought you would be happy about it but after not hearing from you for almost a week, i started to get worried so here we are." you smile knowing that she cares "i'm fine thank you elena."

after the call you got dressed throwing your hair up in a high pony tail then storming off to the salvatore house.

you barged in there like you own the place "where the fuck is he?" damon walks around the corner "who?" "you know damn well of who i'm talking about. if you don't tell me when i get to three i swear to god damon there will be hell."

he looked surprised never seen you like this before, he pointed upstairs and you marched right on up there slamming the door open. "what the fuck is wrong with you malachai parker!" you yell.

"a lot of things actually" he laughed but stopped when he saw you were being serious "this isn't a fucking joke kai."

"what's wrong y/n?" "what's wrong? what's wrong? i'll tell you what's wrong i get a call from my now ex boyfriend sayin that he can't do this relationship anymore and leaves. but that's not the best part yet, just today i get a call from elena saying how you told her and damon that me and dylan broke up. but i never told anyone so explain to me kai what the fuck did you do." your arms were crossed waiting for an answer.

"i may have said something to him" "what do you mean you may have said something to him?"

"well i was taking a nice stroll in the park when i saw dylan walk into a chinese restaurant so i did what any human would do and i walked up to him, and asked what he was doing. he said he was getting food for you and him, then i remembered something you don't like chinese food. so i punched him and said if you don't leave mystic falls now i'm gonna blah blah blah" he smiled like this was a joke to him.

"so you punched him because he got the wrong food? and then you threatened him? why kai why would you risk our friendship like that" he looked shocked when you said that "i did it because i couldn't stand to see anyone else with you besides me. i love you so much y/n i waited for you to come back. you know the day you stopped calling which wasn't even a week after you left i sat down by my phone every fucking day waiting for you to call me. i waited to hear your voice or or get a text from you saying how much you love me or miss me. but no i didn't get one call or one text after you left. do you know how much that hurts? to see the love of your life, your world go off to some random guy claiming that they love him. because it fucking sucks, so i'm not mad about what i did. i don't care if i risked our friendship, i did it because i love you and nothing will ever change that."

you didn't know what to say but your body was doing something different it was like you weren't in control but you didn't mind, because what happened next was something you missed and craved.

his lips felt so good on yours and you wanted to be in this position forever, he pulled away "what was that for?" "my apology i'm sorry kai, i'm so sorry. i dated dylan only to forget about you and that was a really selfish thing to do and i'm sorry."

"i forgive you, if you forgive me" "i forgive you kai."
